Zwischenzug can also lead to Zuzwang. If both sides are stubborn and keep building, eventually one will be forced to make a bad move. I played 1 game with a really passive player and I made it so that he'd be at a large disadvantage if he attacked. Building from an obvious capture to a near gridlock in 20 moves. only then did he play a completely useless move then suicided a trapped knight. Winning mostly due to land advantage

Zugzwang is from german language btw. It's pronounced diffently. And also has 2 words in 1. Zug (which in this case stands for "turn") and Zwang (which translates as "force"). So essentially Zugzwang means "forced move". Great educational video, Nelson. 😊

I can never find how to attack with pawns. You give a good example in A - Attack, but could you maybe do a video on how to know when pushing a pawn is a good attacking move and when it's just creating weaknesses. In one chess match I forced a zugzwang at pre midgame because the other player was so incredibly passive I decided to hold my advantage and stalled him out. He made an utterly useless move then sacrificed a trapped knight because half the board was at a complete standstill. I mean, so passive that after 20 moves only 2 pawns were removed. Being petty paid off

A battery is when you have 2 or more pieces lined up so that they attack along the same file/diagonal(/rank?). I've always seen X-ray specifically referring to defending your own piece through an enemy's piece.
