This is wonderful! Even me being a Filipino didn’t know anything about the historical significance of such events ., what do we expect?! Mostly history is a form of propaganda by the victors who have written them for their own self proclamations and mind conditioning on their own behalf of interests… Regardless of the color of the skin or status in life, we should all be living a life with dignity and respect. The value of life itself is not being measured by all material possessions, but how we spend it during our lifetime. We maybe living in another part of the world a far each other but still we are consciously connected living under one roof which is what we call earth, our own planet, our own home where all lives intertwined consciously or unconsciously affecting each other, and the best way to make a difference is to be kind at least where all great things start in a single step. Let’s live our lives in the norms of Love and compassion and everything good and the best for all of us will follow. ❤️🇵🇭🙏✌️

I’m Filipino with African American decent. My great grandfather was one of the Buffalo Soldiers from Virginia in the Philippines/American War. He stayed after the war and married a Filipino woman. They had two sons with my grandfather being the older of the two. He was captured by the Japanese during WW2 and held in an internment camp at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. He sadly passed away from a heart attack on February 4, 1945 while the camp was being liberated on February 3, 1945.

There are lots more that the Americans did during that war, like in the "Bud Dajo" massacre. They massacred innocent women, and killed every male over 10 years old while using them as human shield just to win a battle against a civilians who just doesn't want to pay tax to the americans. After they won, an American General didnt want any prisoners so they killed them all. an American Author Vic Hurley wrote, "By no stretch of the imagination could Bud Dajo be termed a 'battle'". Mark Twain commented, "In what way was it a battle? It has no resemblance to a battle ... We cleaned up our four days' work and made it complete by butchering these helpless people."

They don't always put African American in front lines as you want to portray.. There are not that many black Americans or units during that war...

Filipinos are naturally inclusive people but got heavily influenced by western (extenal) mindset which divided us at some point. Still, that inclusivity we have still prevails and it will never taken away from us.
