Another year older and a beautiful day to fly. Happy birthday to me. TA-1 now has 60 hours on her and she is performing well. Evidently many others had the same idea as me because there was a lot of traffic out today, it not always evident in the video, but I see them.

Terry, thanks for documenting the building and flying of Tango Alpha One! Also thanks to Dave Edwards for having a sufficiently thick skin to withstand 20 plus years of the ultralight community online forums and the "armchair aeronautical engineers" that moderate those forums criticizing and damning his design as a death trap for anyone foolish enough to buy the plans and actually build and fly the Affordaplane.
Thanks for taking us along. I liked having the wind noise and full view of you plane the entire flight.

Your videos have really inspired me to try to fly again I’ve been dealing with a struggle with getting back up in the air since my dads ultralight accident but flying is such an amazing thing I just need to get passed this obstacle of fear

What is the cable for on the top tube running to the tail?

There are 4 cables that create a diamond from tail to wings and forward to the nose. They help stabilize the airframe and minimize any potential tail wag.
60 hours! Go Terry! Hey Terry, do you have to “ fly it to the ground”? In other words, is it real draggy and has to have the power on all the way to touchdown?

It does have a bit of drag, but I have just found my way to land is to keep the airspeed around 50 mph and wheel land, giving a touch of down elevator as the wheels touchdown.
No one should be allowed to have that much fun
