As kids out here in Ontario, we used to glue curly tail Mr Twisters on our walleye bucktail jigs and swim them for Bass. I had a dedicated Mitchell Spidercast baitcasting rod for the technique paired with that oldschool Shimano Bantam 250SG Mag reel. Man those were the days out on Simcoe and Couchi.

I couldn’t agree more about the blue gill color you like. Purple is the key. I tie using magic craw purple swirl, ghost shad green glimmer as the main body then I’ll mix in a few strands of purple neon and orange for my swim jig. Pairs so well the RI sungill or xzone blue gill. …. I like that core tackle offers a 1/4oz 2/0 version. Looking forward to trying it with the RI Little Dipper. My jigs are expected to arrive Monday. Taking them right to the water.

@@MattStefanFishing well they definitely work. 5th cast, landed a 1.5lber. I’m impressed with how they come through the pad and slime fields I fish. Very little build up at the head of the jig. I can guide it through the pads and slime that much more efficiently. Very good through wood too.

You've come a long way since the Hover Rig but virtually all the products utilize your "core" weighting system. Like the design and you really have all the colors needed! Time to get the (toxic) Lead out, Matt. Have you heard the great news in the North Country that world-class tackle company Lindy is going Lead-Free by 2027? Minnesota fishing Hall of Famer Jeff Zernov is leading on this issue. When is your Lead-Free target date? What are you doing to reduce the creation of toxic Lead mining tailings for its non-recyclable end use in fishing tackle? You have a loyal following that will back you on this, which is a credit to your hard work and dedication. How can your viewers help? Would love to buy tackle from you, but won’t until I see a better plan for our shared environment. The Lead stuff isn’t cutting it for me. My thoughts.

I'm relatively new to fishing but I feel like you're fishing way too fast, boat moving constantly, 20-30? casts per minute, jig hits water and a second or 2 later you're burnin' it back to the boat, repeat, repeat, etc. I've caught tons of big fish between where my bait lands and my boat. Seems like you're looking for an instant bite only where the jig lands and not giving fish in the area a chance to bite it or even swim near it. The #1 rule in fishing is cover more water - with baits, not your boat so am I missing something?

I think if you polled the top anglers in the world they would say that the average angler fishes to slow…

Unfortunately I spent hundreds of dollars on these core tackle things. They do work Not nearly as effective as other rigs Especially using FFS the weight hidden in the bait makes it hard to see

You’re using swim jigs for FFS?

For $6 a piece they should be hand tied.

Find someone to tie them for me at that price

Advanced swim jig is knowing that skirts are useless and go to make a fake-looking bait. Advanced means absolutely no weed guards. Advanced means the right jighead to produce the best swim. This art is very behind. The Tube needs Sincerely Yours badly.

Looking forward to trying out the new Core swimjigs….. I’ve got a question for you. Are you typically always using the 3.5” trailers on your swim jigs? I typically buy the 4”-4 1/2” trailers, because I can usually bite it down if I need to. But, my recent order from TW just came in with the bigger size of The Deal, and they’re strangely large….even for a chattterbait. That’s something you hear VERY little about (trailer size). You hear TONS of talk about brands, models, and colors, but rarely the actual length. *Also, I did really well using the 3.5” Larew Biffle Bug on the lighter Ozark rig (1/8oz I believe) yesterday.* I think I told you before that of all the baits I tested, that Biffle Bug really set itself apart, with its flat profile, and tail. With that hollow body, you could even tinker with its buoyancy. And, the lighter the Ozark the better its action was. ut, I caught 12 in two hours yesterday, which is a good day for me. Wanted to share…
