ADV Scavenger. Is it cool? Thumbnail was added after I had Veff serrations added to the knife.

I DID just spring for a polished titanium Scavenger. I was concerned that I might not like it to the tune of $700 worth, but no worries! I love it! I was afraid it would be too big (I never thought my hands to be large), but my hand fits just fine.

After 3 months now, what's your opinion? Are you happy with it? I'm looking at the same polished one too on Knife Center.

I love thumb studs too! In fact, I’ll subscribe, based on that alone.

Very cool knife, I really like the designs Andre puts out. I really appreciate the push you gave me last year. That kept me focused on getting an ADV for myself. I couldn't be happier with my Tac Butcher and I cant help but think of you when I break that thing out to use. Thanks again brother.

I wish AdV would re-issue his Alien, an earlier bone-based design that demonstrates intricate CNC milling, like the Scavenger, but in a smaller size. The truth is, the Alien is an even better design, IMHO, that fits better in the hand AND in the pocket.

Regarding the price of that particular knife, there certainly must be a lot of steps & therefore fixturing to accomplish the complex machining. I imagine it to be primarily done on CNC equipment which is expensive to own, learn, & do well. Certainly beyond the capacity of the majority of most custom makers. Guess what I’m saying is that the price seems ‘reasonable’ especially given the final processing having been done by Andre (or at least in his shop).
