The barcode on the knife is a good idea, but I would link it to your own domain and redirect to the desired destination URL. If Google Drive changes the URLs of its files, you won't be able to fix the link in the QR code. If the link points to your own domain, you can change the destination link as you wish.

The first knife reminds me of my grandfathers favorite knife. It was originally a 24inch butcher knife he used in a slaughter house for years. It's was unholy how Sharp it was and weighed nothing. But it would make anything look like butter when cutting. I am very impressed with what you have created you have definitely learned from the real life.

@@sierraecho884 of course I do, knives are chefs tools, not kitchen tools. Proper chefs own and maintain their knives. I take my knifes to and from work every day, as I maintain them sharp at all times. Also, in the UK you have the right to defend yourself with reasonable force if the circumstances call for it. If I happen to be going to work or leaving it carrying my tools, I might as well use em if there's enough reason for doing so.

As a fisher it would be a really neat knife for the collection. But I would never be able to bring myself to cover such an expensive knife in fish guts. Dabei wurden die Sehnen einiger seiner Finger komplett durchtrennt, was dazu führte, dass sein kleiner Finger immer noch steif und unbeweglich ist.

That is a lot less than a custom fillet knife cost me 50 years ago. The $100 USD I paid for a knife in 1972 would cost 898 Euros today when inflation and exchange rates are taken into account. I spent $20 USD on a stainless steel knife in High School, which is $207.40 in today's worthless dollar. Sixty-two years ago, twenty bucks didn't buy a very good Stainless steel knife. They weren't a lot better ten years later. I still have that in the kitchen. Diamond stones make it easier to sharpen. A Rockwell C of 55, a Carburumdem, and an Arkansas stone are all I want to keep knives sharp, unfortunately I think some are harder than a carborundum stone.,

But I already have two folding fillet knives! Maybe not quite as long, but certainly long enough. One of them is serrated, but that's because the previous owner (who left it in my car the only time he was in it) filed serrations into it to make it nastier to be stuck with (why else would you?)...he's not the kind of person I associate with--I just gave him a ride, once. I'm told he left it deliberately, as some weird kind of test to see if I'd return it or something. Trouble with that is that I didn't know where he lived, or more than his first name. The handle is broken, too, but a bit of wood glue will fix it.

It´s probably thebest steel for the purpose, since the knife is thin it has to be first and foremost flexible.

A reason to carry it? Fishing, it's a fillet knife. Keep a fishing pole in the car.

As long as you don't identify as a serial killer I reckon self protection, in this ever changing world in which we live in, is essential.

"Unless you have a reason. Self defense isn't one." How insane isnt that? The criminals will keep on carrying what ever they can, but we are literally being cannon fodder in very many European countries. Which is totally wrong of them. Thats the one main reason why I like the US. You are actually, legally, allowed to protect yourself. I will either way, it's better to get jail time over protecting myself and get 3-10 years in prison than it is to end up dead. The police never show up anyway. One has to call multiple times for them to show up, you're fucked if you want to live or not be a criminal. Its insanity.

To be fair, at home you can protect yourself to some degree, but they say, you have to answer with the same force. That means, if someone's at your door with a hatchet and you shoot them, you will end up in prison. If you do, you will get charged with negligence. As in, there is no way you would get to your gun in a situation like that because the firearm and ammunition has to be locked up seperately. Which means, if you get to it, thats negligence. You shouldnt have had the chance to protect your own life! Thats Europe in a nutshell. At least where I live.

@@KapteinFruit Ye. so if the intruder has a knife and you counter with a knife that's 1cm longer, you are a cold blooded murderer and you get sentenced for life. I love Germania.

Carrying a fillet knife while fishing is legal then in Germany, even if it's in a town?
