Marie-Anne, you continue to inspire my choices for outfits. I’ve been following your KZread channels for a few years now and when I look at my clothes, I am reminded of you. In the last year I have purchased a blue and white striped linen button shirt, a white button shirt, navy loafers, Chanel-style sling backs, a white shirt with a high frilly collar and frilly cuffs (I have admired your similar blouse) and today my Ralph Lauren single breasted, beige trench coat was delivered. I understand what you mean when you say you love your clothes, because I now love mine! PS. I recently purchased a navy leather handbag and it was often my first choice in the fall and winter. It has been a great addition to my small collection of handbags. I really liked your outfit with the white pants, the pink sweater, and those fancy shoes are lovely.

I became obsessed with ballet flats while watching you. I now have 5 different colors and wear them at home instead of sloppy slippers. They look so cute with jeans and the colors pop! I also found a little orange handbag. I get so many compliments now on how I look!

oh la la, Marie-Anne, Iike every one of these lovely outfits. My favorite is the pink jumper with white trousers. I think you've accessorised this one most attractively with the joyful surprise of lavender bag, and the sparkles on your pretty shoes!

I agree with the black belt with the first outfit. Love that bag and those trousers.

My "ah ha!" moment came not with the addition of an accessory but with the subtraction. The red belt with the jeans. I knew it was too 'matchy poo' with the bag and shoes so was thinking of a navy belt or a black belt. You surprised me with NO belt at all. And it was perfect. Sometimes it's better not to over think things.

I wear an outfit very much like that navy blue one you wear. I wear a navy tank top with wide leg linen, navy pants and red ballet flats. I have a red bag I put with it I had gold jewelry.😊

I love those handbags! Watching your videos have changed the way I shop. I try to buy high quality classic pieces that will stay in style for years. If I want something that is just a fad and probably won't be in style long, I won't buy it unless it is an affordable price.

I daresay, Navy blue looks great on you. Every time you wear an outfit in that color, you look spectacular. The black side of the first belt is perfect, but I personally would have worn the orange side, just because.... 😂😂. Thank you for another nice video

First Outfit: The sequin belt I think competes with the pattern in the trousers. The brown belt is ok, but the black belt looks like it is finished and the trousers are the highlight. Second outfit: The last combination with the tennis shoes and the red bag was perfect. Since I have a couple of navy blue leather handbags, I would use the navy handbag with the red belt and ballet shoes. I don't really mix orange-based reds with blue-based reds so the Cambridge red-orange bag I would not put with the blue-based belt and ballet shoes. That is one of my idiosyncrasies. Third outfit: I saw the lavender bag on your shelf and when you picked the necklace, I knew that was the bag to compliment the pink and white-lovely for spring. Fun video, with great tips.

In the first outfit, the black belt maintains the focus on the print of your trousers; the caramel colored belt brings the focus to the belt rather than the trousers. The chic red purse adds the perfect accent to the second outfit. I would not have thought to choose a lavender bag as an accessory for your third pretty outfit, but it makes for a lovely choice!

Another great video! Accessories can complete an outfit. I just received my first Cambridge Satchel bag! I really wanted the Lavender Poppy bag but decided I needed to get a basic bag first & went with the Navy Isla instead. It's goes perfect with so many outfits!

You look lovely as always Marie-Anne. I am more a shoe person than a bag person, even though I like the bags and think they do make an outfit. I also don't have room for lots of bags. For me, a bag is something like a house, having everything you need for emergencies. Must have been a hangover from all those years of being a mom. If I change a bag, I always forget something I need so tend to use the same one over and over. Also when travelling, I am limited on bags and can only take one. If you could only have two bags for every day, what would you recommend, bearing in mind you need it to go with black and navy blue and neutral? That's a video for you! 😀

1 looks very fall and I'd have gone red bag. Maybe a scarf at the neck vs chain. 2 I'd keep the red belt and use a straw or light bag. 3 those slingbacks are delicious. I like the colour of the bag.

I used to give mother leather handbags for Mother's Day until e found out that she threw them in the bin as soon as I left. Why? Because they didn't match her shoes!

Bonjour Marie-Anne. Two bits of styling advice that I heard in past years have come to mind. These are: that shoe and bag colours should always match, and that we should wear either earrings or a necklace but never both together. Each of these ideas seem very limiting, to me and I would be very interested to know what you think. Thank you!

I think you're right the sequin belt doesn't work with the patterned trousers. It doesn't show up well enough - the larger, plain belt looks better.

All great and first rate but # 2 is more my style.

The red flats with the casual outfit are superb. I would go for a navy bag if possible or even something woven with a slight pattern. What do you think of wearing just one item of a certain color, such as only the red flats and no other red?

I specially like how you elevated the jeans and polo shirt outfit Marianne. And I noticed the gold colour buttons on the shirt. I could add some gold buttons to a plain polo shirt to make it look more wow! x

I think it depends on how versatile you want your shirt to be. To me, the gold buttons wouldn't look right in a very casual setting, like a Little League game or a picnic. I wear a bolder gold chain necklace, instead, when I want a touch of gold in my casual outfits.

This is a really useful video because you help us to see and judge better. But Marie-Ann, can you give advise for those occasions we need to carry more? Not everyone can afford to have both big and small handbags in a wide range of colours. But we need to carry more things and a small handbag is not enough but we still love to carry these small cute handbaga. What do we do with eg laptop, umbrella, sweater, water bottle, notebooks, books. Do you have suggestions on Would you have suggestions on carrying a second bag but still look elegant and stylish? 😊

The red belt was definitely too much. I really liked it until you added the handbag. This may sound silly, but with colors in an outfit, I was always told to do the "gallon-quart-pint" method. Gallon of the main color then quart of the secondary color (.25 as much) then a pint of the accent color (what is that - about .12 as much as the main color if you even use 3 colors.) With the navy & red outfit, I'm sure I would have added a simple scarf the integrates red & blue I think I own more scarves than anything else in my closet.
