Re: hats... I live in Arizona and in the cowboy world there's a little known fashion rule... straw hats for summer and felt hats for winter. Anyone wearing a cowboy hat on a night on the town, out of season, must be a "wannabe" and is given little respect. 💖🌞🌵😷

Usually, I agree. However, I’ll wear a felt or even winter beanie in the summer if I’m cold (especially at night). Straw for sun, warmer materials for warmth. :)

I think like you that accessories can do a lot. But you need proper clothes and shoes to make that impact. I bought some essential pieces of clothes this summer and dressing up is much easier. Along with neutral and classic summer shoes (beige, gold).

Love your esthetic Erin, and your styling tips, fabulous!! I completely pass on Monica Vinader, and get the exact same look for a lot less at T.J. Maxx. My collection is mostly 14k pieces, they are much more timeless and have actual value, and not much more money if at all than Monica Vinader. Vermeil, with the exception of true one of a kind designer pieces, has no actual value. Sterling silver is a better investment in my humble opinion than vermeil, again it actually has value.

I learned years ago that there’s a “V” in the seaming of every Valentino garment. 😉

I like when you say make something your own and there aren't hard and fast rules- my taupe bag was getting scuffy so I got a beautiful denim one from WHBM and I absolutely think the navy denim works as a daily neutral. Oh! also for anyone that shops at Express they just dropped a preowned handbag collection with brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Prada!

I always pack hats by recessing them into a nest within my clothes and packing undies and small stuff in them to help keep their shape. I'm a cabin baggage only chick when i travel; the journey prep and stress of worrying about missing connections is bad enough, without lugging cases about. Also, I only take 2 pairs of undies and wash them in shampoo in the shower. This also works great with light cotton tops and shorts and they dry over a chair at night Mixed metals rule! Makes for a more interesting 'arm party'! I could never own just two pairs of sunnies. You must have some serious self-control, girl! *Salutes* :) xx

Hi Erin, I’m just about to turn 41 next weekend, I nearly had a breakdown over being 40 last year but for some reason 41 seems less upsetting 😂 I’m really enjoying your videos! You are so fresh and classy… my friends always call me the fashionista 😂 but the one thing I struggle with is jewellery as I agree with you about these huge necklaces that you have also mentioned in other videos. I’m a hairstylist and the amount of women that come in wearing these huge, chunky necklaces and I always think how aging it is. So I’m always scared of necklaces…. Loved all your choices here and can do everything except hats. I have had a hard time finding a hat that I felt didn't make me look dated and didn't highlight an older face in an unattractive way. Great list! I need to go through my jewelry to see if I have the "basics". Your looks are very classic, chic and practical. My problem is that I'm a beader. Over the years, I have created a huge collection of stone necklaces, bracelets, earrings that selection is difficult, and I try really hard not to dress in a matching set. Then if I can't find something and have time, I'll go to my equally large stash and make something ;)

Tricia the way I afford designer brands on a budget is honestly the thrift store which has a wealth of high-quality designer items that are in awesome condition but honestly Poshmark has so many of these brands she’s talking about or very great similar level brands that you can find at Nordstrom’s or Bloomingdale’s Bergdorf’s or Barney’s Henri Bendel and all the namebrand stores. It depends, but generally speaking, inverted triangle body shapes would likely want to balance out their proportions with wider items on the lower half of the body, and soft, smaller shouldered tops/jackets. This style does add quite a bit of emphasis and width to the shoulders, so it would likely make your shoulders feel wider than you would like. xo

I told my husband I need to organize my jewelry. I have so much from my husband and gifts from clients. One lady used to bring me a bag of jewelry every time she got her hair cut. Thank you for telling us what we need and how to wear it. I have been wearing my Tory Burch prescription glasses since you said the square tortoise shell style is still in and trendy. A good place I have found to buy beautiful scarves is estates sales. People travel and they buy scarves because they are less expensive than some items and take less space. At estate sales they are usually less than ten dollars and in materials like silk, soft cotton, satin, etc. I have a lot of cuff bracelets but wider than yours. I don’t see people wearing the wider anymore…do you think I can break them out? Your videos get better every time and I love your fun personality.
