Before I start the description, I wanted to take a second and thank you all for helping me reach 500 subscribers. I have been making siren videos for almost three years now, and it makes me so happy to know that so many people enjoy my content. Thank you all so much!
Asa and I decided to go to this coded Cyclone for the monthly test of the St. Croix County sirens in December. This is the only Cyclone left in my area, as the one in New Richland died earlier this year, so I figured I’d go and hear this one while I still could. I set up south of the siren on a sidewalk rather than northeast of it like most people do, so the CDA sticker on the top of the housing is clearly visible, and even legible if you look very closely. This siren is very weird, because it sounds normal when you’re there in person, but sounds reverse wired in videos. The siren jerks to the right when it starts, which means it is wired the right way, but still sounds like that. Perhaps the damper is stuck? I’m not sure. Either way, this was pretty darn loud in person. To anyone in this area, I’d recommend you go hear this while you still can. Thanks for watching, and enjoy.
St. Croix County tests their siren system on the first Wednesday of every month at 11AM, weather permitting.

Regarding your description, you're absolutely right. The motor is very much wired correctly. The damper is stuck either because the solenoid for it is hardwired to the power supply causing it to be permanently engaged or it's just physically stuck shut.

It’s most probable that the return spring broke and the damper is just stuck in the shut position This is a common issue on 3T22s

Hello, I’m Jim Biersach President and General manager of alerting communicators of America, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our products and our services. This is out home office and manufacturing facility in Mequon Wisconsin, we were founded in 1873 in Milwaukee Wisconsin and for over 100 years have been providing services and products of unparallel quality and crafts men ship to thousands of satisfied customers, during world war 2 we manufactured a gasoline engine powered 125 Decibel siren later named the allertor it was for use in the pacific theater on remote island airbases, in 1945 aca introduced the 10 horsepower electric rotating directional siren and in 1968 expanded to a full line of sirens from 2 horsepower to 50 horsepower which are completely enclosed in fiberglass with aluminum castings to eliminate the possibility of rust and corrosion, the cyclone 50 horsepower 125 decibel siren is the largest non-directional siren in the world, due to the cascading effect of a non-directional siren the cyclone will effectively cover a larger area with a constant even pattern compared to a 125 decibel rotating directional siren with its varying loudness. You will now hear a test of a steady alert signal followed by a wailing attack signal and then the pulsating local code signal the tones heard at the start and stop of each signal are the radio control signals used to operate the test siren
