One is for ac compressor one for ac fan. Do u see fan pic on it as well

Hell yeah!! 99.9% fault relay in most cars and most mechanics fail to check but they change ac compressor then scratch their head

Thanks for the informative video!! Have a 2013 Odyssey. Had new ac compressor/system installed 3 months ago and it just stopped cooling yesterday. Before I had new system installed I replaced both the fuse and the relay to make sure they weren't the problem first. Can those be bad this soon or do you think its another issue?

Fuse can go out any moment other wise relay shouldn’t go but u never know defective part but do check to see if ur system has pressure

Clutch engages I see it spinning and butting up to the magnet when my wife turns on the ac and see it release when she cuts off the ac but compressor won’t turn but I can turn it freely by hand when the vehicle is off?

Ok so check to see if it engages and use test light to see if it got power in the wire that goes to clutch

Thank you for this great video. I wish I had a fuse or relay problem but all of those check out just fine. The problem I’m having is the AC won’t blow cold on the driver side about 10% of the time for several months. I changed out the driver side temperature swing door actuator motor and it’s fully functional but I am still having a problem. I checked my Freon level and it is good so I don’t know what else to try.

That could be low Freon in the system recharge the system

I bought a can of Freon recharge from O’Reilly’s that had a meter on it that said if I was in the green I was OK. it was in the lower third of the “green”at 30 psi so I thought I shouldn’t add any more, but maybe I should’ve added up to the high end of the green area which I think is 50psi.

Ac blows cold when driving. both radiator fans blow on low and high (radiator fan speed). When at idle, the ac stops blowing cold air and both radiator fans stop. Relay?

Change out the relay but I think ur issue is low Freon so have it serviced propperly by mechanic with ac machine do recovery and recharge

Are all of those relays interchangeable? I see that some are black and some are green..... I have a 2008 Odyssey.

No some are some not but just buy new relay even if it’s not bad it’s still worth changing for future ac shut downs I usually get fog light relay for Honda’s they same and fit good

The a/c was working earlier today and this afternoon it was blowing hot air. No gradual change from cold to warm to hot, straight up hot. I’m going to the parts store to change the relay tonight. Does that sound like it’s the relay?

Well before u even buy u can put the ac on and tap the relay to see if it come on … also u can swap it with another to do a test … but it could also be other things like bled door stuck on heat no Freon in system compressor dead but try relay first and check the fuse

If it’s low it will turn on but not make cold and it will cut off but if it’s very low then now

Awesome video! I have the glass ac control panel. Sometimes when I start up the ac it does nothing even though the glass display shows it set to cool and the fan is on high. If I open the hood and let it drop really hard the ac will start up again. Any ideas to help me out?

Sounds like somthing loose or relay clicks on. Check relay first swap it out

@@RBTheMechanic I got lucky yesterday, the situation repeated itself. I had new relays on hand and replaced all three while the vehicle was running and the ac was setting to run full out. None of the replacement relays did the trick. I let the hood slam really hard and it started up but wasn't cold. It started putting out its usual cold air in about 5 minutes. Any next step recommendation is certainly welcome.

@@MarkBreton ok u might want to service the ac system hopefully that take care of it but next time instead of slammming the hood … try wigging the wiring for ac compressor ac pressure switch and fuse relay box wiring and do one at a time maybe somthing is loose with car running ac on. BECAREFULL from the belt!!!

Only the front blows the middle row and back seat do not. Would this be this issue

Sorry I don’t have video on that but cruse control is big systym not just one fuse I would check all the fuses to see if any is blown but it might be inside under dash by foot left side drivers

My a/c in front middle doesn’t blow any air now, only on the side and foot part. Whichever mode I change, the foot is on always. Would your video would fix the problem?

Check ur mode door motor for correct operation also check the arms that connect maybe one is out or off

The AC on my 2012 Honda Odyssey is acting up. Sometimes the fan blows with minimal cool air and then it will blow nice strong cold air. Earlier today this jappend and when it went to cold air bits of ice sprayed out of the vent for a few seconds. Also there is a coolant leak somewhere but I don't think thats the issue because I just recharge it regularly until I can get it fixed. Also do you think the leak fixing liquid works? Its like the can of coolant but it seals minor cracks. I'll give your method a try for now but if you have any other info I would greatly appreciate it.

Don’t add any leak fixers it will damage dusty further

This worked great at first. I changed the relay and it worked for the day but now it doesn't work. Ac doesn't even click on 😕 and when it does its for 2 seconds. Any idea what it could be?

@@RBTheMechanic yes I ordered a pair off amazon plus I picked up one at parts source because it didn't think I'd get the one's from amazon quickly. So I tried all of them even the old one and they don't work. Not even tapping the old one works. It's so weird. It worked all day today after changing the relay this morning and now it won't 🤦🏽

Hi, so my 2012 Odyssey started blowing warm air. It sometimes reverts back to cool air. My husband had it looked at and was told that the compressor is going bad and it'll be about $1300 to replace it We replaced the relay and the 7.5 fuse and it didn't help. Is there anything else we could look at before we go the route of replacing the compressor?

Well I think u might have low Freon which will cause cold and hot air mixture so before replacing ac compressor u might want to have it recharged propperly do not use cans. And $1300 is way too much

@@goingnatural28 I just did Honda Civic I charge the customer 670. And it’s same process with ur odyssey very similar even if I were to charge u $1000 I find it too much around 890 would be best for that

After replacing the replay, you said tap here, where exactly?
