You missed a very important part! The AC on Hyundai Tucson 2017 was blowing cold air for 5 seconds and then warm. On and off and I took it to three different body shops and they didn’t know what’s the problem! Everything was working fine except a small tiny thing called: Thermistor! Located at the dash right beside the gas pedal! 36$ CAD and my AC is Icy Cold! Thanks to Google and KZread that taught me this! Otherwise I would be spending this summer melting down

Thank you! I have a small recovering machine but never used it before, so I need a Freon tank or does it have one internally to recover the Freon? My car ac was working poorly a year ago and after changing pressure sensors, and adding Freon, I found out my fan wasn’t working. On a Lincoln Towncar there’s no ac fan as it’s only one fan so it started overheating the engine. A week or so ago, started working poorly again, I checked the amount of Freon that was a little bit low only so I added but went to far and had to remove a little, after that it blows hot air inside! The low pressure aluminum pipes are hot as well. I’ll be checking the fan clogged this weekend but would appreciate any insights here! Thank you folks!

in 2010 i bought a 94 previa, didnt have ac, bought new compressor, condenser, drier, all expansion valves, evaporator, and tubing basically replaced the entire thing with help from a shop where i knew the owner. cost me 1200 plus parts, best investment i ever made, still have the van, it started not blowing as cold 12 years later so filled it with one of them cans and it got cold again. has been fine since. ill never own a car with non working ac.

The small ac condenser fan, under the hood by the radiator, could just be stuck. Easy fix if so! Start your vehicle, open the hood, if the fan isn’t turning then take a screwdriver and tap one of the fan blades to “free it up”. Worked for me. Watch your fingers!

I had to replace a leaking accumulator on my 2004 Ford Crown Victoria LX and upon disconnecting the upper AC line to the evaporator core, I had to pull really hard to disconnect it. When I charged my AC with the machine a mist of freon sprayed from the evaporator core housing around the top side line. Does this mean I broke the seal around the line or did I crack the evaporator core inside the housing? Just need to know before I replace the whole evaporator core. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hey everyone, My car optra/nubira/ lacetti is 10 years old. For about a year until a month back the AC performance sucked during daytime and was extremely good at night. But for a couple of weeks, it only blew hot air during daytime and nighttime. So, I took it to a car AC repair service. They checked the compressor and said it's good. But they changed the compressor control valve and refilled the gas. And that made the performance of AC like a new car. But all that's only for two days. Now, it's back to blowing hot air 😢. Could someone please tell me what the problem might be? Thank you for your help.

another secret is the car shops dont tell you the same place you add the frion has a plug and you need to decompress hot air out of the engine similar to deflating a bike tube tire..then you inject the frion...so now because theres no pressure in there it will circulate

Happened to me when I turned AC on,it still not blowing cold, just cool. I went to local mechanic that I need recharge. He said that ac is fine. Checking engine light on later ,I went to check it out, radiator one fan stopped working. I have diagnosis. It's said that I need to change cooling thermostat. I replaced thermostat and radiator fan and still not blowing cold. I went back to local mechanic to let him do the job on my drum brakes. So when he test drive my car,he realized that my AC is not blowing cold when it hot outside after I kept telling him that my car need AC recharge Lol.

Ah, so that condenser fan should be coming on immediately when the ac is on and for me I noticed it's not most of the time. The ac had only been working when driving on highway so I'm assuming that the only time I'm getting cold ac is when the fan comes on for the radiator?? sounds like a relay or fuse maybe as I just replaced the fan resistor. strange thing is, the fan came on right away last night and blew cold air when I really didn't need it, but today at noon the fan wouldn't come on, so it just blew warm air until I drove around for about 10 mins, then the cold air kicked in quickly. I'm hoping there's a fuse. Thanks for sharing the knowledge
