Honda A/C Not Working. Air Conditioning Not Blowing Cold Common Problem
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Air Conditioning not blowing cold on this 2007 Honda Element. In this video you'll see some common problems which can be found with Honda Acura, (besides having a freon leak of course, failed compressor ect...). Just a couple common problem areas to check that I've found over the years if you have a no ac problem.

Great job troubleshooting the problem and remaining calm while doing it. So many times, a lot of techs lose their minds and make the problem worse. Please go back and review your camera work you picked up something interesting and I don't think you caught it. When you were shining your flashlight down towards the A/C pump and was trying to get the clutch to come on you filmed magnetic partials bouncing around on the lower piece of plastic. That is a great indicator of a pump that's getting ready to fail, those are the particles from the motor or clutch coming out and being distributed by the magnet poles on the clutch. Just trying to help a fellow tech, though you seem proficient already. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. Solved my problem!
Thank you for the video 😊
Phillip, you're pretty good.
From what I've gathered the Mitsuba relay (39794-SDA-A05) is an improvement over the Omron. And, the Denso (39794-SDA-A02) is an improvement over both the other two.
Thanks Ill have to check this on my 22 CRV .

Do you have a tutorial on how to Santech A/C Switch MT1618 on a 2010 Honda accord cross tour?
On 2019 - 2021 and maybe 22 Civic there's a recall on the condenser rotting out, you won't get a letter from Honda but a warranty for 10 years
Do Honda dealerships parts department sell relays and fuses ???
is the 2023 2014 honda Civic CVT transmission reliable ? CVT
In my case, the AC stops suddenly. I replaced the relay, new gas, and nothing works. The solution was to replace the expansion valve, and that's all.
Thanks for the informative content. Are you open to doing any product review that related to Auto led lighting? We just emailed you for inquiring an product review. Hope what we offer could be a part of your fantastic content.
I got a 2000 Nissan Altima my clutch doesn’t engage it has new ac compressor in it and it has refrigerant. When I jump start the compressor it still don’t blow cold. What you think the problem is ?

I got a 2011 TSX with no a/c. A/c compressor isn’t coming on and the condenser fan isn’t coming on. I bypassed and jumped the a/c relay and the compressor came on but when I swapped it with another same sized relay it turned back off. What do you think it can be

If the fans aren't coming on either you may be low on freon. I would get the freon level checked first and see if its low and if it is check for leaks

@@FixItPhillip I fixed the leaking valve and got the a/c system recharged by a professional. But a/c compressor or condenser fan don’t come on. The compressor only turns on if you bypass the relay

@@KR-uk1mz wired in series of the compressor is a thermal protector. It checks the temp of the compressor but if it’s malfunctioning it’s not gonna turn on the compressor. I just jumped the thermal protector, works perfect now brotha
I’ve got new relays, new compressor pressure is right, switch is working, recharged too, fuses are good too and i still don’t have AC. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

So something similar happened to my dads ford truck and it turned out to be the blend door actuator. It’s supposed to change the temp, so i would look into it

@@vonnab18 some sort of wiring issue, my mechanic couldn’t figure it out so we just wired the AC terminal directly to the battery and it was a diy kind of fix.

@@FixItPhillipThank you so much for your great video and this new part info!
Assuming there is no leak in the AC system, for AC compressor not working issues, there are really two common problems: either the AC compressor relay is bad or the AC clutch relay/fuse is bad. He found the obvious problem with the AC compressor relay despite the fact that it clicks but checking it with the multimeter confirms it is a dead relay. I had a similar bad relay on my older Honda Accord AC and it cut out the AC during a summer trip, such a bad time. What I did not expect he found was the two worn radiator fans! The vehicle only has a little over 100K miles on it and both fans already worn out. I never had any radiator fan worn out on any of my vehicles ever! That speaks very poorly on the build quality on these cheap sub $20K Honda Element! These cheap Honda are made with cheap parts to keep the price low, don't expect it to last like the Honda CRV or Honda Civic! I'd do something very differently to check on these fans: never use your fingers to touch the fan blades, ever, unless you want to lose one or more fingers. These blades are sharp and if these fans have enough contacts, they could spin up and chop your fingers off your hands! User a screwdriver instead to touch it and nudge it because they could come on at any time when the thermostat tells them to run. There are other problems that cause the vehicle to stop sending power to the AC compressor but you will have to check on those only if these two relays are confirmed fully functional.

quick question, if I put some freon in the system and it only blows cold air for a week is it most likely a leak? (2007 acura tsx) I tried putting the product with UV dye but I could not located a leak. AC worked really good with the recharge, just didnt last long.
Top of the relay comes off They arc and build up arc corrosion that don't conduct electricity
Couldn't you have figured out if relay was bad by just swapping it with a known good relay? Like h0rn relay?
My clutch engages. It’s got plenty of refrigerant. I’m so lost.
Come on, NEVER must I say NEVER put your finger in a fan to test or try to get them to spin. What if it was just a dead spot and it took off like they can do. You'd have no fingers. Please don't show this stuff to DIY ers, you are promoting a accident. Even a rubber hose could be used to tap it. But if it starts that could be thrown at you. Disconnect it and test it with a meter.
