@@user-kc4oi7qi6l The Japanese koto is 13 strings. That preserved the Tang dynasty design. Traditional Japanese koto score uses the kanji 一二三四五六七八九十斗为巾 To notate the strings being plucked So anything more than 13 strings would use a different notation system. Japanese "koto" can refer to both Zheng 筝 (same kanji in Guzheng) and Qin 琴 (same kanji in Guqin) kzread.info/dash/bejne/aKuEl5Knira9Zco.html The contemporary "Guzheng" is 21 strings and the S shaped back yueshan or the "S-type Guzheng" Is a design pioneered by the Zhejiang Guzheng school in the 1980s one of the distinctive feature is the introduction of "steel core nylon wrapping" strings. The green spacer strings is also used to mark octaves. Guzheng wear 4 faux nails on both hands, that is teardrop shaped picks, Japanese koto uses a rectangular shaped pick that's usually white color and only the thumb, index and middle finger is wearing the picks. Yamada koto school uses a rounded profile picks much similar to Guzheng. This is a Japanese school koto club, the picks are rounded as opposed to rectangular. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pGRhs9Samdmxc6w.html A lot of koto playing uses the "sandwich plucking" by pressing the pick right against the strings "sandwiching/pinching" before "snapping" off the strings. This playing technique is more commonly seen used on the Guqin as plucking with faux nails using this method will cause noise Guqin that play with actual fingernails is still using this method of "sandwich plucking" Guzheng most contemporary playing will use a "hover plucking" by initiating the plucking motion about 5 mm off the strings to reduce the noise produced by the faux nails contacting the strings. Koto strings is tetron (synthetic silk string) which give a more silk sound. That along with the Korean Gayageum and Mongolian Yatga is easily to be mistaken for the same instrument. This is a rough translation to what is written in "description" [from chinese to english]: This cover is based on Luca Stricagnoli’s guitar adaptation of Thunderstruck. After playing, I just want to say that Luca's unicorn arm [edit: strong arm] + ruthless iron hand are indeed something I can’t easily attempt emulate… Anyway, I think my left hand is about to break . The sound engineer told me that me turning the wrench looks like driving a hand tractor... absolutely speechless! Even if it's a tractor, are we starting in fifth gear or not?! Pity on this wrench and the floor of the piano room. They have endured too much, could be said they’ve sacrificed themselves [to the song] hahaha~ This is the second time I have tried a finger-style transplantation [edit: arrangement / transcription], and I feel to have learned a lot! I Hope I can bring y’all an even more interesting song next time~ Hope you all liked it! Remember to subscribe to this channel!

Unicorn arm (麒麟臂) is a Chinese slang for "strong arm". Not always a compliment but I'm sure it was a compliment in this case. "Transplantation" (移植) is a mistranslation. It means "making cover with a different instrument (guzheng)" in the context.
