I dunno man. If you actually make a better machine you'll have taken up 2 spots in the 7 wonders of the world, and that's just too much power for one man to have. Absolutely deserved though, and I can only imagine how great it feels to have something you worked so hard on legitimately get the recognition it deserves. What an inspiration.

Look, I'm discovering this in 2024. This is utterly incredible. I showed my mom, and she really got a kick out of it. This art is universal. And it truly is universal. Everyone of all ages from different times can enjoy this. Thank you for your time and effort. EDIT: I was just thinking about the calculations you had to make to pull this off. The most crazy part about it is that it isn't just the most elaborate music box. There is a need for the player to actively play the guitar, pull the correct levers at the correct time, and then there is intermission. This is not just a feat of engineering but also a true display of skill.

I’m watching this in 2024 and it still amazes me. I don’t know how in the world you could sync up all the instruments so well, and the bass guitar just blows me away. Bravo, my friend. Bravo.
I won't lie, despite the fact that I have no personal stakes in this, following Martin and his journey with the marble machines only makes this video more and more emotional to me, even as just a bystander. This machine, even if you consider it a failure, was an inspiration to many people and me personally.

This was an engineer and musical marvel 8 years ago and it will remain a marvel 2000 years from now. Its the new antikythera.

Watched this seven years ago, came back today and enjoyed it just as much. It may not be as "tight" as Martin wants but it still sounds fine to me.
Revisiting this video each year since 2021. The music is so unique and it’s just awesome to see the mechanisms work together to create a special kind of music that others haven’t made before. 🎉❤️
After so many years and new generation of marble machine, when I look back on this, it still blows my mind. The creativity, the originality and the craftsmanship. So primal.

I saw some of the 'making' series years ago and forgot it existed. How could I ever forget such an insanely, wondrously complicated, magical music machine. That is a genius level mastery of musical skills.

Whenever i get down and start losing hope, amongst the sea of negativity and losing faith in humanity, i watch this and remember what we are capable of. For a moment, a wave of contentment washes over me.
I just think it's neat how the noises from the machine's operation like the cranks and switches are just as much a part of the song as any of the actual notes
