I dont know how anyone can abandon an animal like that. So cruel. If you cant take care of them at least bring them into a shelter or actively find them a new home.

Wrong, so wrong! In some period of the old age years , many dogs run from home! Especially male dog. I don't know why . My 9 year dog run at night. After 2 weeks I found him. After 1 year run again and fight with another dog and died that night.😢

Huskies are generally quite friendly. They can be too much for an older person though. They shed always, run out the door and down the street. They can be very prey driven, and because they are so intelligent they get bored easily.

It looked like Echo never lost his spirit throughout his ordeal of being abandoned and then passed around. Best wishes to him in his new home!!!

The other day a large dog was walking on Hwy 58 in SLO. There were no houses around so I pulled over. The dog walked over to my car so I got out and opened the back door and he jumped into my car. Now what? Long story short, after about 10 minutes his owner came down the dirt road looking for him. THANK YOU LORD. "Miracle" I said to the lady I had flagged down to help me figure out what to do. GATER did have a name tag with phone number. .(No reception out there, though)

How wonderful that the owner was actively looking for their dog. They at least care about their pet. Normally we have to be the one to track down the owner. And it is rare that they want to be found. Good job saving the dog! Could have easily been hit by a car.

@@thearcofca Yes! Or could have been stolen. He jumped right into my car over a box of persimmons the minute I opened the door. Miracle. ❤ Thank you for what you do. It's not easy. I rescued hundreds of cats and kittens when I lived in Chatsworth.

Yes, the third place was simply amazing and a huge place with pool etc for that nice husky.

Picked up a 3yr old stray female Siberian Husky from a shelter in San Bernadino one year ago. Seven hundred round trip in one day from Phoenix! Winter is doing fine.

Wonderful to see that Echo finally was in a stable home. thanks to all parties involved all to make an adoption happen ❣ Btw, thank you so much for the postcard 😻 I was a bit amazed when I suddenly got a postcard, that has found its way all the way up here in Arctic Norway from the other side of the globe 🥰🥰

Beautiful, lovely dog. Great work in helping him to find the right home! Going on a mini-rant here now...I'm sorry but elderly or otherwise infirmed people should NOT be owning big dogs like Huskies. Unless they have a back-up plan with family members who can help out. They are too much responsibility and work. Whoever this old guy was (the original caretaker), he failed the dog by abandoning him to the streets.

sure. coulda been a weird situation though, that landed him with a husky. like a family member that lived with him and passed. could be anything. and if the dog escaped, he might not have had the ability to go look. all in all, yeah plans should have been made to get him to someone who could care for him.

A lot of people don’t understand the responsibility of taking care of a pet, especially nowadays with the vet bills are so high. So many people abandoned their pets because they just couldn’t afford to take care of them anymore.

The reason that so many people are dumping there animals is not that they can’t afford to take care of them, it is that they just do not want the responsibility anymore so they throw them out into the streets. It is the irresponsible out of sight out of mind lack of concern or responsibility. They treat an animal as if it is an object often acquiring them during holidays then as they grow up and the new wears off they want to discard them as if they are a toy that they outgrew. The saddest part is often these offenders repeat the process the next year.

I'm so happy Echo's first family called and admitted they could no longer care for him. It was obvious that it was an "ify" situation. Almost like "Well okay we'll take him", type of attitude, which didn't bode well. I'm so, so happy Echo found the right home.

my thought was more... "do they know what's required to take care of a husky?" a lot of people have no idea. and it's more than the $$ of large dog care but active walking and all that, which people don't expect.

No animal especially, when they have been used to a human looking after them, should then be abandoned on their own and left to roam the streets as that's just evil even if your elderly, and even then you shouldn't have a dog that size if you can't meet their needs. We have a massive issue in the Coachella Valley with people dumping dogs. There are three main reasons why; lack of resources, cultural viewpoint and the local government does not go after backyard breeders which is illegal in California. Also, lots of dogs coming over from Mexico illegally. So I guess for main reasons. We are a small rescue but we are doing are best to tackle these big issues.

The long road to haven. I'm so happy he found his angels in that great family. Thank you for making sure he got there.

It’s a disgusting choice to abandon animals when you can’t take care of them. If you can’t take care of them, just don’t have them. They have feelings and will remember you until they die. I really hate these type of people and feel so ashamed being fuman being. Thank you for saving his life. He has such beautiful eyes. Hope he’ll be safe and enjoy his life. He deserves it.

I remember a few years back when Michael Vick paid a visit to Cherry Hill area thinking people would like to meet him! Little did he know we all knew what an animal abuser and killer he was. At least he served time for his crime, but he still is Never Forgiven! Animal abuse is a horrible crime, and always remember it is Never forgiven. This beautiful Husky in this video is so incredibly sweet, and thank you for saving his life!

This is so sad. I rescued 2 huskies found wandering on the 62 highway in the high desert of CA. I fostered them for 6 months. They both went to wonderful homes. I despise humans that dump dogs! I also have a dog named Mr. Cool! Happy life good boy! He looks very happy in his new home! Thanks for rescuing him!

He was abandoned recently (a week at most), Just because he isn't skin and bones doesn't mean otherwise.

A Husky is a lot of work to care for. They shed enough fur to make several stuffed Husky plus toys.

I’m the one who left comments on Anderson video. CaneCorso, Huskies, German Shepherds are the new fad dogs. It’s a shame. People abandon them we had two walk into our gated condos this week real skinny ,all my son could do is let them out he wanted to call services. But our Bull Terrier was upset. For some reason you don’t see alot of Bull Terriers . There has to be restrictions on breeders. And people who breed these dogs these breeds for support and they can’t afford to have one let alone two dogs.
