@@gmbs81 Cleaning and preserving almost all of the original parts to function like new is called restoration

nice restoration, the only problems i saw was why did you not clean the crankset and just painted right over the rust, and also why not replace the rubber seals/wipers on the fork stanchions leaving them off is just going to allow water and dirt and grime to get into the lower legs and completely kill that fork (if it's not already dead, since you didn't show yourself taking it apart and doing anything on it.)

Absolute amazing work. I also restored about 10 years ago an Impala Fully Mountainbike, which was lying long time in the garden of my sister in law from Belgium. But instead of you I made my work much easier, because I changed all the rusty and not functioning parts. Still this bike is in use and I'm proud of my work. Sometimes I ride to my working place one way about 20 km. It is one of my 6 bikes I ride. I'm not a mechanic, I'm a nurse. You get my great respect, because you cleaned and used, as good as possible, the original parts from your bike. Definitely the better way, than my way by chainging everything. Nice video. I have still some other bike projects to do. This video inspires me a lot. Thank you for showing it.👍Greets from Germany.

вот-вот.. странно, что об этом никто не написал.. с рамой почти ничего не сделал, много ржавых мест осталось.. на переключателях в том числе.. когда он начал красить поверх ржавчины, я сначала даже подумала, что это не краска, а какое-то вещество против ржавчины, и что после этого он сделает все нормально :D в общем, да, именно для продажи, либо для ролика)

Это же сделать так чтобы выглядело типо восстановление, по факту это помойка на которой сам автор будет ездить. Нормальный человек даже не сядет на это недоразумение.

I love how you build bikes the way I used to when I was a kid I used to reuse and fix my bike many times I had a bike that I had for many years just kept changing the bearings and failing parts I was very hard on bikes but I'm very good at being on a bike in any weather because of the love of the two wheels

So many things that are so frustrating. Painting over rust. Putting back mismatched shifters. Ugly rear derialleur, rusty spokes. So much work put in but results are unsatisfactory.

Ничего себе ржавый, да он как новый! Я в прошлом году велосипед ремонтировал, тот реально был ржавый, я болты и гайки болгаркой срезал, а потом высверливал резьбу, потому что они не откручивались, либо обламывались.

Loving how you take advantage on every single component...despite if is cheap or not...I always try to do the same! The more rusty the more satisfactory...envy for your ultrasound pot...I use steel brush hahaha

If I were you, I would have sanded the parts with paint before I sprayed them, because in the video, the small scratches were visible due to the light, which means that the surface is not flat.

Very long pipe cleaning brushes with wet and dry paper wrapped around them can get rust or corrosion out of the seat - tube area .

Taps and stock and die kits in metric and imperial are a must as well as pedal thread / bottom bracket taps .

@@danieleduardoocanahernande4220 Una bicicleta de esa gama y en el estado que está no merece la pena restaurarla a nivel económico. Sólo si es por valor sentimental o por el placer de restaurarla.

после такого он не поедет. а если точнее - поедет, но будет проскакивать цепь на звёздах. потому что в большинстве случаев звёзды имеют выработку после долгого их использования, а если на такие звёзды накинуть новую цепь, то она будет проскакивать из-за несовпадения выробатки на звёздах и выробатки на цепи. поэтому стоило оставить старую цепь, притёртую к этим звёздам. или уже прям полностью менять всю трансмиссию. проверено на личном опыте

Відремонтовані велосипеди з Європи , набагато довше їздять ніж нові велосипеди з китаю. Китайськими велосипедами нажаль заповнені всі ринки країни. Вони моють гарний Скравий вигляд, але в експлуатації ломаються через 1місяць . Люблю свою роботу . Вам бажаю натхнення та всього доброго.

Все было более мене до того момента, пока автор не стал красить шатуны прямо по ржавчине...я сам так делал пару раз, но это мне было бы стыдно показывать другим. Для быстрого преобразования ржавчины с минимальным вредом, лучше всего ортофосфорная кислота, она наиболее безопасна в работе. И после обработки кислотой нужно промывать детали в растворе, иначе будет только хуже.

Всю раму можно почистить просто одним бензином, без спреев и химии - отлетает на ура, у нас это бензин "Галоша". Покраска по ржавчине системы, да как и всех остальных компонентов - прям серпом по одному месту. Ну и "вишенка на торте" - вилка, ноги в ржавчине в штаны и без сальников - так уж проще поменять на дешевую регидку и было бы хоть практичнее и эстетичнее. Х.З. такое преображение - делать так уж как то все и на совесть.

Ничего особенного, просто сделал ТО, заменил смазку и удалил ржавчину! Вилка осталась мертвая, красил прям по ржавчине грубо говоря перекуп-вариант короче)

I do my restorations with more equipment and resourcefulness at my disposal . I don't publish them on KZread as I hold my secrets close to my chest . I have had BRILLIANT RESULTS EVEN BETTER THAN SEEN BY THIS PUBLISHER OF CONTENT .

@@gmbs81 the brake and shifter leavers were not even replaced with something symmetrical. If I was a poor kid, I don't think I would be glad to get such junk! All the other kids would laugh at me and I would be better off.

My kind of restoration. Good to reuse original parts as much as possible. Great video.

On a bicycle with a 7-speed triple chainring and cassette, not only must the chain be changed, but the cassette deck and triple chainring must also be changed. Since if you only change the chain, it will skip due to the wear of the cassette teeth and the triple chainring due to use.

You can usually get away with leaving the front chainrings , but your right ,ideally you should change the three parts ,but the cost goes up…in this instance the cassette looked in good condition so you might be lucky

Tolles Video. Rostige Kette kann man ganz einfach mit wd40 einsprühen und auf hart Boden drauf schlagen wie mit Peitsche danach mit trockenen Fett schmieren. Farbe auf rost wird nicht lange halten. Als ich 13 Jahre jung war, hatte ich auch so ein paar Fahrräder restauriert. ✌️

Why was taking the crank arm off so easy for you? I have tried for a couple off days using degreaser, WD-40 Heat, leverage but it won't move.

I envy you the tools that I cannot afford while travelling. example the sole wrench for quality pedals. and that for the pinion group. Here they always sell very cheap and not very functional models (often I have to throw away the sprocket group) it costs less to change a sprocket group and the hub than to get a good key from abroad. How do you get the black paint to adhere to the handlebar, crown, etc. without sanding and priming? doesn't it give you problems? You did a beautiful job congratulations !!!

Not sure if i would call this a Restoration or Bringing back From The Dead. Well done mate.

if cleaning a few parts with ultrasonic without proper initial cleaning and some tooth brush qualifies as such work, yes. Personally, I am not convinced that thing is running in normal parameters and that in less than 1 month that rust won't come back. I did not hear the rear ratcheting, I did not see it moving, I did not see the fork working. It might fall apart. Worst work I've seen from him.
