This is a 2gig technologies Go!Control panel. Alarm.com is the company website that allows you to interact with the system online. Other alarm companies field this system as well.

my only gripe with this unit is that the speaker is only 120mA. Do you find that the speaker volume is enough to warn that intruders are inside or do you need extra speaker attachments?

Antennas should be wired through the wall? That's great, except springs alarm did not do that to my knowledge.

i have almost the same unit, except under the plus sign it doesnt have the word EMERGENCY, it has pictures of 3 things, police, fire and a plus sign.. how do you find out what model number you have, all the boards say 2GIG, and does have a Z-Wave sticker in blue when i took off the control panel from the wall, Which i think was never enabled.. The problem is that yesterday, the whole system just shut down, like someone unplugged the unit.. The only thing that i have done with it is: took out the cord from the socket, and plugged it back in.. then while the plug was in took out the battery.. but still does not work.. Will this unit work if the battery is depleted or is out of the unit?..Is there a check list i can do... This unit is not being monitored, we did not renew the contract, and has been over for 2 years..

You know how to clear the history? Like I opened to change the battery and for some reason keeps telling me that my window is opened which is false. Like I said is doing it after the battery is been charged.

concerning the Panic, Fire and Medical emergency buttons, Im almost positive that when you activate it, they first dispatch the appropriate service that you request BEFORE they call you over the cellular communicator to get them going. Then they contact you to relay details to the emergency services. The only thing i dont like about this system is that an external siren is not available for it. The built in siren is only 85 db. I installed a second smaller control panel in my room to help.

precisely why use 2gig systems for our customers. they provide a quality product. most security companies seem to want to give their customers low grade systems but could easily hook people up with the same quality. the difference with our company is, we provide alarm monitoring with the quickest response time in the nation! you should check us out just in case you know anyone in our service areas that needs security nsasecuritysystems.com

I was told that this system cannot be disabled from a "Smash and Crash". My understanding is, that if the system is armed, and a door is opened, the Alarm Monitoring Company immediately gets an open door signal. If your user code is not received to cancel the open door signal, within 30 seconds, police will be notified. Any thoughts on this?

+bubsrub This is correct with alarm.com which has this process patented. Several alarm panel can work with alarm.com as it is a service some manufacturers partner with. Any "all in one panels" that does not have alarm.com can be defeated with a proper smash and crash attack.

the only way you can disable an alarm with that feature or with APL (Honeywell's own crash and smash feature) is by braking in without triggering a sensor and then breaking the panel

I brought a house with this in it. They gave me the pass code. But now a year later. It went of due to a low battery on a fire alarm. Even after replacing the battery the alarm keeps going off every 4 to 6 hours. I been trying for 4 days to get thing thing to stop going off.

This guy took out a Vista30 with a secure CPU and put in the Go alarm. What a mistake. He could have upgraded to a Honeywell touch center keypad and added cell back-up to his current panel and had a real alarm. Honeywell also has all the internet options and apps but the quality of the system is well above that of a Go alarm. The real shocker will come when you try to cancel that APX service and find out that the 3 year contract you signed renews for another 3 years after your initial term.

I prefer the emergency button going directly to the police. If I'm hitting that it is on purpose and I want Law Enforcement ASAP. Most of our contacts are drilled except our new windows(gas filled and plastic). The remote arming/disarming and viewing is the cool part. Other than that there isn't to much of a benefit. Good video! Get an alarm system and a shotgun, and you'll be set for life. Good video!

This go system is one of the biggest pieces of junk on the market. The wireless contacts drop out all the time. Also having the brains of the alarm in the keypad is feel good security. All someone has to do to disable your entire alarm is to kick open your front door, grab the keypad and smash it and your alarm in now done. No signal will be sent to the central station. They forget to tell you that small fact.

  • @mattmax11

Your incorrect. The system is built with something called "Smash and Grab". So when an intruder does smash the panel it will automatically send out and a signal to the monitoring station.

@namehasnowbeentaken Since you know so much, how long have you been installing systems? I have for 18 years. Also I can tell by your grammer you have no education. I quote " don't talk about about what you don't know about" What language would that be? Also everything I wrote is 100% true. If Vivint is so great, why were they kicked out the county I live for fraud and selling alarms without a license? I can forward you the article if you like.
