I love to see a company back up their products without hesitation or hassle. The smaller the business the more significant a no questions guarantee becomes. After all, bottom line is what's it all about. Your attitude is what we need more of in the USA. Kudos for being a responsible manufacturer (i.e. craftsman) AND a builder of beautiful high quality furniture.

I mostly agree, but a word of wisdom here if i may as a shop owner myself, you will encounter people with no decency who will try and push you as far as they can an grab everything they can while compensating you as little as possible, without a care in the world if that means your business closing down. My buddy working in vinyl wraping hears and sees all kinds.

Hey Cam, very cool of you to replace the yellowed table. My "home state" is Hawaii, so I know how hard the climate is on wood ... I made some Padauk pieces for my daughter, and had to be extra careful about warpage, and finish. That said, I live in Japan, and we have all the Hawaii humidity AND four seasons. I hope to experiment with some epoxy soon, so paying careful attention! Cheers,TG

Great work as always! Thanks for naming and shaming the courier company. I hope you received a full discount on the shipping. Furthermore, it was very generous of you to offer a completely new table as a replacement for the one that was yellowed. Although I didn't see many pictures of the yellowed table, I believe that it would probably still be quite attractive and there would be quite a few people who would want to buy it.

Epoxy mainly yellows with high heat and exposure to high amounts of moisture in the air, two things Hawaii is known for. If you're in an area where those two things are a problem you should stay away from whites unless you really trust the manufacturer you're buying from.

On a serious note, (sort of) my wife and I would like to thank you and reassure you about a subject you brought up in a previous video. We absolutely do not want you to stop talking. My two year old daughter, Méavyn (pronounced May-vin) absolutely loves you. She has a hard time falling asleep at night. We started watching your videos and she completely relaxes listening to you and she smiles as she falls asleep. We look forward to every new video but she definitely has her favorites. Cam, I'm super impressed with your table. I am super bummed about the possible yellowing of epoxy. I believe the first video I watched of yours, which by the way I found to be super, was the white epoxy circle table, for the sole purpose that it was white and I loved the contrast with the walnut. Are you aware if the yellowing is more likely to happen to a clear or white tinted epoxy opposed to a darker tint?

Customer service: too often people don’t think it to be necessary or just don’t think of it at all, but the act of handling a mistake or otherwise undesirable situation says an immense amount about a company/employees. Great customer service can turn a horrible situation into an outcome that keeps the customer loyalty or handling a mistake with poor customer service will lose customer trust and future business.

Cobalt refers to a high speed steel. It’s harder than the typical M2. Cobalt drill bits are used for drilling stainless steel. The gold color is titanium nitride. It is a coating. You will get cleaner cuts with that cutter until it dulls. Carbide lasts longer but is not as sharp.

Well done Cam, in how you handled The table, your videos, and most importantly your instruction methods. I find learning from others mistakes so much more useful than simply watching what they can produce. Must admit, would have liked to see more of the dining table as well, but more importantly, good to know people still award thoughtful service!

Love your videos, always a pleasure to watch them.....also, Estes Freight has destroyed no less than 5 large packages of ours as well. One of them was gigantic custom made powder-coated panels for a large dog run...every panel was damage and unusable. They are a terrible company and they didn't cover any of the costs and still hit us for full price shipping.

Cam - as a follow up to my multi-part question to you recently, I listened closer and now I know the buffing pad on the gem sander is just a foam pad with an optional microfiber bonnet. Good to go there. I'm enjoying the builds. Looking forward to the next one (I'm trying to catch up on your videos)

CAM - Hey Cam, I have never done an expoxy table before but just had a thought/idea that might help you. You mention that putting the finish on the underside and then flipping leaves marks that you buff out later and it still leaves small marks. I know it’s the underside so unlikely to get scrutinised anyway, but since you’ve already drilled and screwed in the threaded inserts you could consider making some “mini-feet” 1” long with some silicon on their bottoms (that you could reuse) which you can screw in that, when you flip it to finish the topside, the freshly finished underside doesn’t contact with the table/blanket, etc. Just an idea :-) Love the videos. And the narration. Keep it up!!

I always enjoy your videos and really like your narration. This helps to avoid any major mistakes. I made an epoxy table and left one plate holder on it. The sun bleached all exposed epoxy and the one covered is now different colour. The seller told they have not had any problems during 3 years and it is impossible that their UV resistant epoxy could change colour. Need to find another supplier.

Cam, I totally watched til the end! Great customer service. Too bad that beautiful white table turned yellow. I commented on that one too how much I loved it. She might be able to salvage it by using a woodworker in Hawaii to etch out the yellow and inlay some of the magnificent wood from Hawaii. Oh, BTW … ‘super’ job.
