I'm glad that at this time of insanity and wokeness, we have a video which doesn't try to falsely rewrite history and appropriate all of the history of Russia and pass it off as Ukrainian But I gotta deduct points, so to speak, for a few things 1) Not appreciating Ivan the Terrible as much. Ivan consolidated power and made Russia into the main power of the region. Without Ivan it's possible that the region could have been conquered by other Slavs or even a Turkic tribe and that thing we call Russia would have never existed 2) If I understand you correctly, only Georgia recognises the Circassian genocide. If that's the case then it's hardly fair to use that term 3) You were too hard on Nicholas II, with the challenges he faced I'm not sure anyone could have succeeded. This was a time where modernity was crumbling Monarchies and Empires everywhere. He was up against impossible odds

sorry mate, but according to my observations and my friends (from Russia itself, Belaruss and Ukraine) 80% of Russians are lost... brainwashed animals. Maximum 20%, and mostly only youngsters with higher than avarage IQ, have enought knowledge and intellect to snap out of this ridiculous collective thinking. After so many years of brainwashing this country is literally unrepairable. Normal people should leave and rest of the world would just have to fence out this country. I literally see no chance to make them normal

  • @cerebrummaximus3762

@@Citizen0fUtopia • First off, if you are conscious that they are brainwashed, do you not pity them? Imagine being a normal human being, just like me and you. But ever since you are born, you are sent to a school that teaches Ukraine is Russian, then you come back home turn on the news and all you hear is Putin is cool, etc is not. Knowing that, I definitely feel sorry for some, and I do a magic trick called "simply not engaging with them", when I met somebody "brainwashed". • Second, I don't think the West, let alone America, is any better. I am not Russian, yet when I once used my father's YT account to write a comment (completely unrelated to the war), some commenter saw the name (my father uses his name as YT username, it was Slavic and therefore looks vaguely Russian to anyone who hasn't ever opened a book before), and replied something on the lines of "please stop the war". First off, they saw a vaguely Slavic name, immediately thought "Russian"; second what'd they expect me to do, even if I were Russian: go knock on Putin's door? I'm not sure where they were from, but guessing by their account it was likeliest an Anglophone country. Trust me, the West is not any less brainwashed than Russia or anywhere else. • Third, are experiences may simply be different, but from what I've seen, most Russians - whether or not supposedly "anti-Ukraine" - upon meeting actual Ukrainian, would welcome them with hospitality and open hands. After all, we're all just people, and there is literal reason not to show respect.

Very consise and captured a lot of information. Only thing I would call significant that was missed was Black October where Yeltsin changed the government into what it is today, a super presidency. He ordered the military to attack Russian Parliment and removed all checks and balances that a president may face. Tanks fired on government buildings and no one questioned who was in charge anymore. Also, the rise of the Oligarchs when all the Soviet Union factories and manufacturing went into private hands. Oof. Great video! As for Russias future, the people I know say that ruin is their future due to the Ukraine war. As long as sanctions are going Russia will stay in decline and a continuing brain drain will certainly hurt them in the long run as well. Many young people are moving abroad so their population will remain the same or decrease. If I had to guess I would say that after Putin there will be a major governmental change and chaos will remain for a year or two as the new government finds its footing and implements its changes. I would hope this new government will play nicer with the world as Russias history and its people are great, but they have had a rotten government since the feudal days. They have never been free (except for the two years after the fall of the Soviets). One thing I suggest to think about is; what would eastern europe look like without the soviets building all those massive projects and buildings? Would it be underdeveloped, would all the local countries have developed their culture in a different way? It is impossible to think of what that part of the world would look like without the heavy influence of the SOviets

let me answer partly to your last questions: Poland, before getting under soviet influence, was flourishing, with Warsaw named the Paris of East. Once after the WW2 became the satelite state of USSR ...it was the worst time for Poland ever which left it so underdeveloped compared to it's western neighbours.

    1. Not Kiev but Kyiv. 2. Most of history you talked about is about Ukraine, not Russia - even the materials you used in video is in Ukrainian. 3. And this one is actually interesting - from my personal experience everytime when "history of Russia" is told, no one is telling the history of any other regions of modern RF, when they in fact existed and people are living there for ages. As Ukrainian I can tell you that this history video is misleading and creates more content for russian empire whose job for ages was to conquer and suppress any smaller nations. And no, I'm not saying that only because I'm Ukrainian and we're having war with russia for over last 400 years, but because I was raised in russian propaganda so I had dig in history to find my nation's identity.

Totally agree. I was watching it and scratching my head.. "won the war with Georgia"..."Won with Chechen" . WTF, THESE WERE NOT WARS! These were exactly the same actions like now in Ukraine. Provoked by Russia to take over the lands that was heading towards Europe and in case of Chechen they needed a political enemy to show to the brainwashed masses that they are strong leaders., cuz they were loosing the followers. There was not even a single comment on how in recent 2-3 decades all the actions done by Russia were absolutely despicable and provoked by them, yet when u watch it here, u kinda have a feeling that "poor Russia, good for them".

No one outside of Ukraine believes in this. It's Kyiv regime and Banderite propaganda. Prior to the war every single history book said the same things this video says and connected the Kievan Rus with Russia. Ukraine is an artificial country created by the Soviets and it was a failed experiment. The name itself even means borderland. There is a "Ukraine" in the Balkans too, called Bosanska Krajina. It has this name because it was the borderlands between then Ottomans and the Austria-Hungarians

Moscow was ruled by a RURIK while Kiev was under the rule of Poland-Lithuania that treated your people like pigs. never mind that Russia beat the fractured golden horde later and stopped the enslavement of slavic people and founded Odessa and Kharkov and beat the Ottomans that bought and sold your people like cattle.

The 'Kyiv Rus' is the history of Ukraine, and all the rulers of that time are part of Ukraine history. Only at the end of 'Kyiv Rus' on the outscirts 'Rus' some cities and towns where founded which in future become Moskovia. But they went in completely different direction, they where under influence of Mongols and pay tribute for them. Russia's propaganda did a lot in past years. Just check when Kyiv was founded - 482, Moskow - first mentioned 1147. Moskovia was completele different state, of course there where some connection to 'Kyiv Rus', but culturally they where Asia, not Europe.
