Not to mention that the people who used Islam as an excuse to destroy and kill people weren't Muslims at all. Mohamed simply wanted the religion to be known. He didn't want it to be forced. And now look what most those dumba$$es did. They used it as an excuse for their selfish actions.

It’s insane to think that Mesopotamia Iraq was the centre of the world for more than 3000 years. That’s most of our written history. Bless the land of the Tigris and Euphrates

Second trimester is all about “ civilization in the Arabic peninsula before Islam “ 4- second “intermediary grade”: Islamic history again 5- third “intermediary grade:” modern Iraq history again 6- forth “ preparatory grade “ : Islamic history for the third time . For students who choose “ literary studies “ they study European and western history in the fifth preparatory grade and modern Iraq history in the sixth preparatory grade. Basically, dark ages started with Mongols in 1258 and lasted until modernization in 1970's. Then again dark ages from 1979.

The people of southern Iraq use some Sumerian words in the Arabic language. In fact, we love the Arabic language. It may be a secondary language. The Sumerian language is the first language.

Great video. You forgot to mention a whole lot of stuff, but this is quick history. So all is forgiven.

Started thinking "poor, poor Iraq" when this video got to Saddam Hussein. Ever since he took over, most of Iraqi history has been awful, terrible, horrible things. ISIS made it worse. I feel more than a little bad for the Iraqi people. Yes, maybe better things will come for them. Some people have escaped the country and can live safely while still being proud of their heritage and culture.

Not really. All the world was a warring world. Iraq's history just goes back further, so we see it more. You have the Abbasid empire which saw massive scientific, literary, medical, and other advancements.

i don't think of it as a sad story, just like the first days of society that it made, it will keep going, ups and lows, currently low but that means its going to spring back up like before

Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī, or al-Khwarizmi was a Persian polymath from Khwarazm Also The word "Khwarazm" by the way is a persian word and its region is in Iran and ok wtf he did not know his ethnicity what are u smoking??
