It doesn't sound like a real citation (I'm not sure if at the time the words "Iraq" and "Pakistan" even existed), but it would make total sense if Alexander the Great said it in modern times. Maybe it's a paraphrase, do you have any source about the citation?

I have been waiting for this video since I first subscribed to your channel. Nice video even though it forgets many important details. As a Syrian myself, I don't think Syria will ever "smile", not at least in my life time. Syria was never able to develop a national unifying identity due to its history. Since Syria is an extremely diverse country with no unifying identity, it is therefore doomed to instability, constent wars, intervention and exploition by foreign powers, and ethnic violence. I think Syria will eventualy be Balkanised and absorbed by neighbouring powers.

Syria is an interesting country with an interesting history and some interesting buildings. Sad to hear this country having a bout of bad luck in the 21st Century. Things can’t get worse, can it? Next is either Taiwan or Tajikistan. It most likely will be Tajikistan. 🇹🇯

As a syrian i find this pretty accurate, but u should ve mentioned the fact that bashar alasad is a dictator and that he was responsible for thousands of deaths among syrian civilians. About the situation nowadays syrians suffer from the economic consequences of the was with huge inflation, and theres no improvement appearing in the foreseeable future as the western sanctions make really hard for the syrian economy to rise

There was no independent Palestinian state before 1948 and when the UN partition plan was proposed at the end of the British Mandate, the Arabs rejected it and went to war, with Egypt and Jordan occupying Gaza and the West Bank respectively until 1967, when Israel occupied those areas too. An independent and prosperous Palestine will be established through bilateral negotiations once the Palestinians understand that history and start building their own state side by side with the Jewish state rather than trying to burn everything down.

Thank you for talking about the Arameans, we actually still exist in some places in Syria and from the region of Tur Abdin in Turkey. We still speak the Syriac form of Aramaic. I would like to add that the so called « tolerance » of the ottomans for the christians is mostly a myth spread to give a good image of the empire. In fact, the ottomans would make slaves from christians and committed genocide against them. ܬܘܕܝ ܣܓܝ
