Key Features:
Design and Aesthetics: The R18 Roctane is a sight to behold. Its massive stature may seem intimidating at first, but this bike is designed to impress both visually and on the move.
Power and Performance: Equipped with a colossal 1800cc boxer engine that delivers a knockout punch with 158 millimeters of torque at 3,000 RPM, this bike roars to life with a twist of the throttle, echoing BMW's rich history of the boxer engine that dates back to the R32 in 1923.
Handling: Despite its considerable weight of 374 kilos, the R18 Roctane boasts a well-engineered frame and suspension system that ensures a balanced ride, whether you're navigating city streets or carving through country bends.
Technology: True to BMW's ethos, the R18 Roctane comes equipped with cutting-edge tech, including an advanced LED lighting system and an array of ride modes to suit any weather condition. Rock mode for the sporty souls, Roll for the everyday rider, and Rain for those wet and slippery days.
Safety and Comfort: Automatic stability control, engine drag torque control, hill start control, and reverse assist all work in concert to deliver a safe and comfortable ride. The dragster seat not only adds to the bike's charm but also offers a relaxed and enjoyable ride, perfect for long-distance adventures.
Ride Quality: The Roctane's six-speed gearbox ensures smooth transitions, and the mini ape hangers offer comfort regardless of your riding style. Maneuverability, even with the bike's heft, is surprisingly agile once you're on the move.
Conclusion:
The BMW R18 Roctane is a testament to the brand's commitment to excellence in the cruiser segment. It's a machine that combines classic styling with modern technology and powerful performance. The sheer power of its boxer engine, coupled with top-notch handling and a suite of rider aids, makes the R18 Roctane an exceptional ride. It may have the weight of a heavyweight, but it dances with the grace of a middleweight once you're rolling.

Have 5500kms on mine and love it. Heel toe so easy to use. Open road cruising at 100kph very economical.

Same here in Australia, second hand R18's go for less than a HD Sportster. And that idea that the heal/toe shifter helps with gear change is BS! I've tested these bikes.. heal shift only moves up gears. The issue with these bikes is getting your toe under the head to down shift and break. Still... would I buy one.. yep I would! Beautiful bikes, well built, comes with way more features than a HD Road King as standard, and if you can live with mid controls they are fabulous to ride. Just buy second hand!! You will never get a Road King as cheap as one of these (second hand)

Have not ridden one as yet. Seems that the 21” front wheel was the tweak that brought this bike into its own!,

In our UK market, it's an unsaleable depreciation machine.
