❤John was humble. A former roommate at Brown said one day John was expecting his Mother to visit him in their dorm. John had to dash but asked his roommate to tell his mom he'd be back. John started to describe what Jackie looked like. And his friend said, "John, I know what your mom looks like." He never assumed.

No Jackie had been dead when John started dating Carolyn. However, that wedding never would have taken place IF Jackie was still alive especially after that huge fight outside in Washington Square Park on Feb. 25, 1996 where Carolyn was shoving John calling him a ba-tard & it made TV on First Edition. I remember watching it. No way would Jackie have allowed John to marry her. Jackie liked her privacy and to hear & see Carolyn on TV shoving & name calling Jackie's only son that would have done it for Jackie. I even heard John's closest friends state IF Jackie was alive that marriage never would have taken place. I agree.

Quite interesting. A few thoughts: Supermodel Christy Turlington, husband Ed Burns and their kids have lived in that loft for a long time now. 2. You cannot understate how much Carolyn Bessette inspired the style of Carrie Bradshaw when Sex and The City began in 1998. Not as flamboyant but SJP was definitely channeling Carolyn in those early seasons. 3. Carolyn was formerly a "nightclub person" as mentioned; she retained some bad habits from that phase. I won't say more. 4. Even though your floorplan says "NORTH Moore Street", it's actually N ("EN") Moore Street- it's a mystery lost to time why the street is called that- it may have been someone 200+ years ago called Nathaniel Moore. No one knows! There's no Moore Street to be north of, and it's on the south side of the actual street. Anyway, good stuff. Thanks!

I was in my 20s in the 80s and I was told he has just arrived on a small plane on top of the roof. He is partying in a private section of the Copacabana. We were friends with the owners so we walked in without waiting on line. Drinks were free as well for me and my sister's. John died same year my dad died within 2 months apart. I also saw Jackie Kennedy in mid 80s walking on Madison Ave wearing the scarf and sun glasses. I need my future husband that day. Life's wonderful let's cherish it with sadness and happiness cause that's what life's all about.

It was well known they had a tumultuous relationship at best. They fought constantly and were actually separated at the time of their deaths. She had actually gone back to the hunky model boyfriend briefly mentioned in this video. The weekend they died, her sister convinced them to go together to his cousin's wedding as to not take away from his cousin's big day, that is why her sister was with them in the crash.

@@CarolStJohn-ev9ryI agree I frankly thought the long term former girlfriend before actress Darryl Hannah was a better choice she was with him for a long time, seemed to get along well with his mother and sister and especially because she was a actress seemed at ease and comfortable with the press. I think John fell for the blonde and glamorous woman not really taking into account whether she had a qualities to handle being his wife. I think he would have realized his mistake and maybe went back to the former girlfriend. That happens a lot a guy gets caught up in the glamorous woman and dumps the not so exciting but stable girlfriend but realizes his mistake and goes back to the old girlfriend with a much better appreciation of her qualities.

John wanted certain items from his mother's estate on Martha's Vineyard and was arguing about it with Caroline in the weeks before his death. They had already become quite estranged as Caroline disapproved of his wife Carolyn, now this. Why couldn't she just let him have the few things? She had plenty and he didn't ask for much or need much. She ended up inheriting everything including his estate. I wonder if, after his death, she looked at the items he wanted and it burned her.

He became acquainted with Caroline and John, Jr. Michael attempted to give Caroline a good night kiss, she withdrew, stating that 'My mother would have a fit if I were to let a black boy kiss me'.😱. It was said that Michael went back to his apartment and cried all night long. There is a bit of snobbishness to her. I wonder how does Caroline feel about her first born being a lesbian. Rose Schlossberg and her 'wife' live in California and operate a garden to table restaurant. I was surprised to find out that she and her husband, Ed Schlossberg , live separately.😱 John,Jr was overheard as saying that 'Caroline will be the last person to help you'.😱😱I hope it did indeed 'burn' her after he was gone. She knew that she could've let him have those items.

We can only wonder if Carolyn had adopted a different approach with such an intrusive press if July 16, 1999 might not have happened. That is, instead of making herself such a rare sighting, and thus, a target, what if she'd done what John had learned to do? He was so available that he wasn't really news, just a photograph of a beautiful man. What is clear is that Carolyn didn't have the type of temperament able to deal with the chaos in her life. He was full of anticipation and it was infectious. After his tragic end..I realized he had the attention deficit issues that is all too common and yet goes unrecognized. Doubtless one of the reasons his mother did not wish him to pilot his own plane..requiring attention to detail and focus..something he both embraced and also caused lapses when most needed.
