Hi John. I am doing almost the exact same build as you. I got my bearings installed and found my clearance is way too tight. I am looking for something with an +.001 oil clearance. The MB5283HPSTDX would be perfect but can't seem to find them anywhere in stock. Summit is showing a four month lead time!!! Any recommendations on an alternative?

I believe King only does a run of those bearings once a year and if they run out then you have to wait. I have used Clevit before but I usually wait on the King ones.

Do you know if these bearings will work in the teksid blocks? (kgbmb5281si) I ordered the wrong ones but these say its for aluminum blocks. 🤔

Looking at my email history, I have used or sold those bearings. I think they might just be lower end bearings for factory level HP. If you email me some pictures I can take a look and see if I can tell by pictures.

When you put atf on the main caps, did you also put atf behind the main cap where the bearing goes?

Yes, I put a light coat. Some prefer to put oil on the back side of the bearings others dont. I dont put oil on the aluminum block side tho
