I don't think the relationship was worth it but time and again I'm sad. When deep down I know I did the right thing moving away. Somehow I going myself drawn to them.

Removing your ex in your mind is a step towards moving on

You should do all these things for yourself and not necessarily to get your exe's attention, because your ex may not care even after you do all of these. Good thing is its a win win for yourself because even if you don't get him/her back the newer you will definitely attract a better person than your ex.

We had no contention. She was deeply affected by the loss of her grandma and slipped into depression. Started taking antidepressants and slowly pulled back. I was supportive and encouraging, but she said she needed to heal on her own and find herself as she felt she was losing herself and drowning in sorrow. I respected her decision and here i am.

At least you know the reasons why she stepped back .. my ex left and come back after 3 months telling me how much he loves me … I asked him why you left he said he will tell me when we meet … I said why not now ???he never told me why he left … he just said that leave a bird free to fly and if the birds is coming back means you had something he saw on you .. I said is is the opposite he was flying and other woman’s rejected him and he back to me because he knew it I loved him … I still love him but he has to go … I’m struggling on moving on… but I took the right decision I deserve better …

I understand this deeply. My ex was crippled with depression from previous relational trauma that was triggered in our relationship, no matter how hard I tried to understand and be patient and kind and loving, he decided he couldn’t handle the pain anymore. He said he needed to know what it felt like to be alone again, to “see if something reveals itself,” despite loving me more deeply than “anything on earth.” It’s awful when there isn’t anything you can do to stop their pain.
