Foose is an artist/craftsman/genius......Hemisphere is the bomb!

I’ve heard that Chip is a very tough boss to work for. But very generous with pay and bonuses. If you went to play games at his shop… You were history. If you were serious and worked hard… He paid for schooling and Tools! And he taught many people how to do certain things and carried his guys first class to all events. He was NOT a touchy-feely kind of boss. But if you showed him hard work… you were golden. 4 or 5 guys have opened shops on there own with Foose’s help and he also showed up at openings for his guys. Hard work pays off.

That was the first thought that entered my head, spoke with the owner before the Grand National Roadster show when he was setting up the display......INCREDIBLE car. Definitely belongs near the top of any Foose list.

@@pd07 I'm not accusing, simply asking. I find when watching these kind of videos that I really enjoy, the strange cadence, the odd pronunciation of certain wards is very off-putting. That's just me though.

You can stop at the Impala. That car is what I call perfection.

It's Wes Rydell and it was called the Grand Master. I also love Coolaire also built for Wes Rydell. Both were featured in Mother's car products commercial.

Foose may be an excellent designer and builder but the original bodied cars are better left mostly alone and just embellished just a little bit such as the '67 Charger. The P32 and the '48 Caddy are the best of the customs. The color of the Jaguar is to die for!

I agree wheels are way too large, has Ferrari design ques and no Jag needs a hood scoop like that…nit my cup of tea. His designs IMO are hit or miss, has some really nice ones then ones that look like he is trying yo hard.

Sometimes Chip Foosed up great classic cars only to have them f’d up in appearance I.e the funky paint…. All the odd striping….. the Foose wheels it was over the top and destroyed them.

Cars today have no style or flair, they all look the same.

The title is wrong. It should be, "MY SUBJECTIVE OPINION on '8 Most Beautiful Custom Cars Built By Chip Foose' ". That would be accurate. I don't SEE ANY of these 8 as even slightly attractive, never mind beautiful. SEAT build better custom cars, as do Chevron and Venturi.

Some may not agree but, to me, a TRUE classic is a vehicle restored to original condition, not customized.

I never cared for what he did. But to each their own.

I can never get around how he could build such beautiful cars , and then turn around and ruin them with hideous oversized wheels and low profile tires .

I agree. The low-profile tires-- a nod to hot-rodding fashion and not in any way good physics on these cars-- would likely ruin the handling here as well. Maybe not, though. Chip Foose might have accounted for the characteristics of those shallow tires in his chassis designs here.

The Jaguar illustrates that Foose should stick to American cars. He took what Enzo Ferrari called the world’s most beautiful car and turned it into an American car that removes all the sophistically beauty of the original. From the smooth original racing six cylinder and an understated bonnet to an engine that’s sounds as wood mill and screaming American hood scoop. For me as a Jaguar fan a Corvette that wants to be sophisticated and ends up as a parody. Or in another way take Shakespear’s classic play “Romeo and Jullia” and end up with the musical “West Side Story”.
