    Hey Sam my shock mount on the swingarm wasn’t welded either so I had mine welded to reinforce it cause I sure didn’t want mine to get ripped out or all bent up. I fell much better knowing that it should be ok now. I do want to do some trail riding with it nothing crazy not no jumping the bikes to heavy as you know so I really needed to get that taken care of. Thanks for the video you always do such a great job making them and always having great information to go with them. Ride safe buddy take care and God bless

    I got my Risun FC-1 enduro back in March it had 72v, 5000w, qs273 3.5T motor, and100a sabvoton. But couldn't leave that alone. So Change to 8000w, qs273 5T motor (hi torque) 200a sabvoton and 18" & 21" wheels for off-road. Found a 3 speed freewheel they use on folding bikes to get a little more ratios if I pedal. License as moped to make it between the dirt trails. Cool thing about the Risun it came with DNM forks with dual front disc brakes stock.

    I made light version of that same frame. 26" bicycle wheels, standard bicycle spring/oil fork, 1000w kit, 48v 20ah battery. It came out really well, and stands out of other electric mountain bikes. I changed kits original controller to Brain power 38 amps to get the regen brake. Now I don't need other rear brake and I only need front brake in last meters when I want to stop completely. I'm still waiting new rear shock, I had to get it assempled, so I used some old spring I found. Wery nice to ride, and no commercial ebike comes close to this.

    Did you have problems with pinch flats on your rear tire from torque? I got a bike like the one in this video and my other is a diy 3000w e mtb with 26 in wheels, I’m always ripping the rear tube apart at the stem and can’t find rim locks for 26 in bicycle rims. Are you experiencing similar issues? Could you find a rim lock for bicycle wheels?

  • @samjohnson517

    @samjohnson517

    I have ripped a couple of tubes myself at the valve stem however this new tube I have seems to be holding up really good but I've been keeping the air pressure up high, not sure if they make rim locks for 26 in Wheels however you may be able to get the thinnest one you can find and then modify it that might be a possibility. I'm not sure if you are, but I would try the heaviest duty tube that you can the thicker the better

    I am wanting a bike very similar to what you have built but I don’t want to waste any time upgrading after my first purchase and I know that with the new equipment that’s available I can tailor it to ride the way I want it to and never have any reason to want to upgrade. I want to go with the 200 amp Bluetooth connected controller, motorcycle style seat, and the top of the line, forks, and shocks. A more dedicated street tire because I’m not going to be riding any real off road, damping control makes it safer, handle better, stop smoother. And the biggest brakes I can find. Possibly look at changing front hub to one that will accept dual disks. Expecting to see 96 v batteries real soon. I want a bike that could be taken to a track to safely find the top speed 75 would be more than adequate. I’m certain the controller would have to be mounted externally and I will probably have to modify the stock cover to fit it. By I, I mean someone who can build one adequate to hold the larger controller and give it some good armor and splash protection. I would not want to count on peddling only but I would try to find gearing that would allow me to get some exercise at least up to 20 and preferably 30 mph. And make it easier to extend mileage and still keep up with city traffic. And the top advantage of the external mount is more battery space. For that 92v70amp interstate battery lol

    I bought a Delfast Top 2.0 Very disappointed so I've gone through the whole thing. Can you send me a link for your charger? I did end up putting the Magura mt5e on the back with a 230mm dual piece rotor. Wow what a difference. The original squealed so bad it was embarrassing to ride. A great upgrade. Maybe I could've just changed the pads like you did. This bike came with a 60 amp Chinese controller. Total crap. I bought an unlocked Sabvoton 72150 from AliExpress. So it's actually a 200 amp. I'm running a QS 205 3t. I run it to hard. Looking into a 12k motor for when this one goes. Nice build Sam. Looks great!

    If you run out of space it's because you put your shoe inside, while I put it easily under the frame, you just have to make a hole above the existing ones on the 4 fixing brackets cache, and the deal is done, watch my videos and you will see that I have not even touched my big Sabvoton which also has its 4 fasteners on the sides ... Si tu manques de place c'est parce que tu as mis ton sabvoton à l'intérieur, alors que je l'ai mis facilement sous le cadre, il suffit juste de faire un trou au dessus de ceux existants sur les 4 pattes de fixation du cache, et l'affaire est faite, regarde mes vidéos et tu verras que je n'ai même touché à mon gros Sabvoton qui a aussi ses 4 fixations sur les côtés...

    I would love to buy something like this but building an wiring electronics is scary to me. Shorting something and ruining a controller or bms is my biggest fear. I have a 60v scooter off of alibaba but can only take it up to 45mph before I get speed wobbles. Would love to get a commuter ebike but the $1400 that I spent for my scooter goes along way value wise. Banggood has the laotie ti30 scooter which has 21700 cells in a 38.5 ah configuration. Maybe reaper to buy the scooter and use the battery pack from there in another ebike build but with a 60v setup? Food for thought. Hi from Los angeles

    Hello! I hear you I hate electrical myself I just keep a fire extinguisher nearby :) I would not worry about the wiring there really is not much to it, there's like five wires you got to screw in to the controller and they are color coded .and if you're just going to buy a battery that is already built it's just a matter of plugging it in.
