    Hey Sam congrats on the latest vids. Nice content. I was wondering after now you have been riding your Ebike for a while I am worried about 3 things. First off how are the internals holding up because I don’t plan on doing no motocross on this but i will do some light long trails out in my woods can the battery and controller take the jarring and bumps I am putting foam underneath battery. Also you ride on very similar dry and loose kind of terrain have you had any problems with fine grit such as sand messing up your motor or anything. Lastly is water in your opinion how water resistant is this bike as I am worried about my hub motor rusting inside I would not be doing anything muddy but I may get stuck out in some light rain here and there.

    Hello and thank you for watching I have about 2,000 miles on mine and it's holding up great no real problems the electronics seem to be bulletproof. When I wash it I'm careful I just splash the rims and I try not to get any water in where the battery is basically give it a sponge bath LOL I have soaked the motor a few times though, water does not seem to hurt it at all and no issues with sand or dirt at all really

    Great vid. Just to give people a heads up they should be careful about the quality of the battery they are getting if it's not from a reputable seller. A few here in NYC got their prebuilt AliExpress/baba Enduro bikes with rated size/speed but very bad voltage sag. Good quality 20-35+ amp discharge cells for a 72v 40ah build in the USA are around 12-1500 and that's only the cells without spot welder or man hours. These $2k prices for whole bike builds with battery are fishy. So worth building one of these for sure though!

  • @dimitrisliveris6968

    @dimitrisliveris6968

    I disagree. Getting new Samsung 3150 mAh cells from battery hookup leaves the total cell costs at around $720 if you want to fill up the frame with a 64Ah battery. Labor is probably less compensated in China so I think the price is justified at around $800-1k for a 40Ah battery imported from there. Frame and motor I've seen for around 800, cheap fork for 150, so I do think the 2k prices are somewhat reasonable.

    @@dimitrisliveris6968 You mean the Samsung 33G the 9.75 Amp discharge cell?. You can def build a pack with those but the Molicel's Sam used for his type of performance are rated at what 35 Amps per cell? and thats the 18650. Let's say a 20s15p (300 cells) pack at 10 amps per cell and thats a max of 150 amps. I def don't want to run my packs near full max (more like 50%) so they go on 🔥

    Don't quote me on this but I read somewhere that cheap batch of Samsung's may be from a large contaminated lot Samsung got rid of on the cheap. Normally those cells are like 5 bucks each. Sam, have you had any experience with the Estrapz Cyclone ebikes that are similar to this Enduro? I'm studying both like crazy, the 8000 watt Enduro is saying 100 amp controller vs 150 amp controller for the 8000 watt Estrapz??? I like the Enduro because I can order it with both seats, the standard and the moto. The Cyclone only comes with moto seat, have to downgrade to the Thunder to get both seats in the Estrapz line up and they have crazy large 21" tires? I would rather have 17" tires on the Cyclone but they are only offered with the 5000 watt Cyclone. So much info to wade through.

    I would first find out how much the battery is putting out, is the battery putting out 150 amps? If it is then I would go with the 150amp controller that will get you close to 12,000 Watts (150amp x 72v)

    @@samjohnson517 Thanks, I'm waiting to hear back from Estrapz about the battery's continuous amp output. Heck, I could go with their 5000 watt Cylcone, 80 amp controller with 72 v battery that comes out to 5760 watts which is probably more than I need anyway? I can get it for $3591.60 out the door tax included, plus it has the 17 inch tires I prefer. I'm 65 years old. Most of my riding will be well below 30 mph anyway. Thanks for your help. @@user-sk4sp5jo6p Hey, I asked the Chinese factory and they told me the fat wheels make the bike slightly shorter. Also 26 and 19/21 seem to be around the same height on the two models I was looking (zoom fork vs KKE fork). I only had the chance to try the 26” with motorbike seat and felt impossible to pedal, so they thing that will make the most difference is adding a bike seat if you’re going to pedal. I think I will go for 19/21 wheels with bike seat. Or leave the motorbike seat and use it only on throttle.
