I really wish Dr. Phil protected that lady more. I know he wanted to help Diane, but he needed to put Diane in her place about being so angry and cruel to a women who went through the same thing and is trying to help 😢
What a mean, hateful woman. They are trying to help her, and she is just wretched towards them. She makes it very hard to feel sorry for her. The way she goes after the audience.

Pride. One of the ugliest of the seven sins. The bricks that make that wall of pride hurt the most when it starts crumbling down.
She knows the truth and thats why she is behaving this way. Shes embarrassed. You cant help someone until they want to be helped.

The anger is deep, I think she is mostly angry with herself for believing in something that truns out to be false, now she is lost and alienated from her step daughter, she is stubborn, I hope she can find her way back.

Not to mention the guilt that she must be feeling after her treatment of her family while defending this person! 😥
I want to feel sorry for her and I understand she's hurt, angry and embarrassed, but her treatment of those trying to help her was awful. How many times did she yell "SHUT UP" at her daughter, the audience, that woman who tried to help. She has a lot of apologizing to do to the ones who tried to show her the truth. Like in a Few Good Men "You want the truth...you CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!"
She deserves to be in the predicament she is in…because she wants to be in it.
Shes soo angry and hateful to everyone that she makes herself miserable. So sad. Scammers need to be stopped and prosecuted

Has anyone considered after her surgery, something may have happened to her brain. This could be neurological or some chemical imbalance. I hope someone looks after her because someone like this could be suicidal. 🙏🏻

I’m surprised that her granddaughter is sitting beside her, the way she’s spoken to her mother is appalling and I’d be telling her so , instead she’s telling her mother to shut up when she’s trying to help .

The way she is behaving is called being in denial. She doesn’t want to listen to what they are saying, because then she has to face the truth, and most often they don’t want to face the truth. Some people do not want to face the reality of the situation she is in. Her family care about her, and she is not thinking clearly at the present time. Yes she is being rude all because she is desperate for somebody to love her, and in reality, deep down she knows what is being said is true. It’s a shame she couldn’t see it was a scam when it first happens. Also, I think the audience were laughing at the irony of the situation, but more than likely with all the facts in front of her she still says she doesn’t want to know.

Her grief and anger is real and justified! Her pain is real, these predators pray on the need to be loved! When someone yearns To be loved, (especially after a significant loss) and they believe they have found it, there is almost nothing that will convince them that they were that naïve, and therefore swindled out of every penny they ever worked for, in the name of being loved, the Pride and embarrassment will cause this irrational anger filled response towards the people that truly love her and are only concerned for her well-being!! it’s like a drug addict that doesn’t want to admit it, the only response you’re going to get IS ANGER AND ATTACKS! That’s why they say “ love is a drug” pride is the other motivator in these responses! it is not her fault that she wanted to believe in something that she needed so badly, something that caused her to abandon common sense and rational thought!!! The disgusting people that commit these kinds of crimes should suffer the same LEGAL consequences as an extortionist or worse!!!
We have all been scammed by a person in our lives it doesn't of had to money. Pull your self up listen to people who are trying to help you , forgive yourself and carry on.

The elderly are lonely- she was looking for love like the rest of us except because she’s older she doesn’t know any better - she’s angry
I feel so bad for her... These con- artists are filth!!!! When you are old and lonely, it sounds just wonderful....😢😢😢😢....
