You cannot sleep until 4:00 PM and take care of toddlers. You cannot sleep until 9:00 AM and take care of toddlers. YOU GET UP WHEN THEY GET UP and you watch them every second of the day until they go to sleep at night! PS. You take care of ALL OF THEIR NEEDS IN BETWEEN! She will never forgive herself if something horrible happens to those children while she is laying on the couch!

A social worker appeared at my door one day because 'someone' had accused me of abusing my children. I immediately said, "All of my kids happen to be at home right now. I'll stay where I am while you find them around the house and in the back yard and you can speak with them privately." She wasn't there but a hot minute before she said the 'report of abuse' was obviously bogus. Shortly after that incident, I moved my kids to another state and never spoke to my mother again. Best decision I ever made. I only wish I'd done it sooner.

Parents stop using your retired parents as "unpaid" baby sitters. If you're grown act grown. You're a guest in your parents home so you're overstaying your welcome. Certain places you can't go when you have no sitters. We are grandparents, not parents. We already grew our children by ourselves and don't want to do it again. Nobody will stay in my home and speak to me disrespectful. Grandma the parent is home go when you want to go and when the children starts to cry the disrespectful mother will have to get out of bed.

I got pregnant at 16. My mother said right away, that's your baby, I will only take care of her while you are working or schooling. It made me grow up real fast and able to take care of my baby myself. At the time I thought my mom was being a bit harsh. Looking back it was the best thing for me and my daughter.

I wonder if the daughter has postpartum depression. Her newest baby is only 2 months old.

As someone who’s gone through PPD twice, it’s quite possible. I wouldn’t doubt it.

Could be, but she's also showing a lot of symptoms of drug use. I think if she's going out til 4am, and then sleeping for 12+ hours straight and unable to be woken, and so aggressive and defensive, it reminds me of how I personally acted when I used to use drugs. Thankfully I personally didn't have any children when I used!
