Biggest Liars in ‘Dr. Phil’ History | Best of Compilation | Dr. Phil

Ойын-сауық

In 2016, Michael began telling people he was a combat veteran, a former Sergeant/helicopter pilot in the Marines, and that his “bomb-sniffing marine dog” had recently died after being hit by a car. He admits he also told people his wife died of cancer. Then, Katie says she's at the end of her rope with her husband, John’s, lies and if he doesn't start telling the truth, she'll leave him. She says John has lied about everything from pretending to have a job to having cancer and that they've even lost their house because of the deceit. Katie admits that she knew John was a liar during the 10 years that they dated -- so why did she marry him and have a baby with him? Next, Melisa claims her estranged husband, Chris, is a pathological liar who lies about anything and everything. Chris admits he has a problem with telling the truth and insists he wants to change -- but does he really? Finally, Janene says her daughter Taylor is a “pathological liar” who has faked 10 previous pregnancies. However, a sonogram convinced her that Taylor was finally telling the truth about her latest “pregnancy.” After nine months of allegedly being pregnant, Taylor told the family she miscarried - Was she ever really pregnant as she claims?

    My mother died in 2004. I was 51. I discovered certain things after she died that I’d believed my whole life. I did not have twin brothers who died in a car accident. They never existed! I did not push my baby brother in his pram off a verandah which resulted in his death. She abandoned him with relatives in another state and he died at 2 years of age falling off a horse. She was my mother and not my aunt as she claimed for the first 30 years of my life. I believed every beating I received as a child, I deserved. Liars destroy lives. Destroy self respect.

    @andriab8517

    Ай бұрын

    @@deannalumia1707 That is not what was happening. Did Dr. Phil get loud? Yes, but he was not bullying her. Think about it. This woman dealt with 10yr of being lied to in this relationship. She admitted that she knew he was a liar when she chose to marry him anyways. If those 10yr+ were not enough to wake her up, then there needs to be a new approach. When you're a parent, you no longer have the privilege of only considering your own wants & needs. If you wanna tolerate being lied to, losing your house & struggling, then that's fine. Add a child into the mix & it's no longer about you. Her enabling of her husband's lies lost them the house & what's ruining their marriage. But it's her lack of initiative in getting her & their child out of a situation like that, that set Dr. Phill off. She has ALLOWED and CONSENTED to raise her child in an environment where housing isn't stable, income isn't stable & the child's needs are not being met. She consented to this life through the complacency she's developed over the years, towards her husband's lying. Personally, I think Dr. Phil was in the right. He knows he can't fix a pathological liar in one episode. But what he can do is open the eyes of a mother who needs to act on behalf of her child's well-being

    I know one person who lied about being a veteran after being in the custody of the national guard for a week. Didn't even made it to basic training because he failed asvab. He now claims he is a veteran. His mother claims he is a veteran. Meanwhile my husband who retired from the military is so appalled and disgusted with all of his family for even trying to twist the reality that this kid is a veteran. You just throw the whole person away and then whine about the homeless, why don't their families just help... You let the actual abusive ones out into the world to sow more destruction because you can't take it anymore. If someone lies that badly? Catch them in a legal scenario and make them do time. When we met he told me he was a vice-president at the bank he worked at, he was catholic, went to university to be a special education teacher along with a lot of other things. He said he changed paths after doing his student practicum teaching in a school where he was left alone with the class and a kid in the class died. After being together for a few years it all started coming out… NONE of what he told me was true. Never went to the university, so obviously no kid died in a class room with him in it.

    I'd like to submit consideration for a friend's situation. Doesn't really involve lying on her part, but she is an enabler of epic proportions. She constantly wants to join us on trips, but doesn't have the money, or cannot relinquish her care for her Mom to anyone. She continues to want a life, but does't seem to be able to see that her actions aren't allowing that to happen. When I gently try to point out that her treatment of her adult children are part of the reason for her not having any money. She affirms that she knows, but when given the slightest method to deal with it, she says she will, but doesn't. It doesn't appear that her husband (his stance is that the 'kids' are too old (one is 30 you, another is mid 30's) to change) is little support and her Mom just fuelsthis with her worries. When we have had some times together she is pretty good at having fun, but she doesn't allow that to happen as often as she claims she wants too. I know you could help this situation get refocused and let her have a life.Shes a very hard working gal, willing to do it all for her family. It's just doing her in....
