Story 4 is exactly why I've taught my children that they can always come to me when they need me, no matter what. They won't get punished and I'll always come for them!

Kids : ALWAYS call your parents in tough situations - no matter how much trouble you think you will get in. Parents are a lot more compassionate than we give them credit for.

Story 4 is particularly sad. If that person is reading, I’m so sorry no one was there to support you & get you home safe. I’m so sorry for what you experienced. Hope you have better people in your life now & I’m sending lots of support. The story prompted me to msg my half sister & make sure she knows to call me, if she’s ever stuck somewhere & can’t get home.

Their story has the right to be heard. Their story could prevent someone from ending up in the same situation because they’ll remember what happened and managed to take themselves out of a bad situation and avoid harm

It's disgusting how evil people will harm innocents for their sick sense of satisfaction. It's heartbreaking that some of these people who ended up in these frightening situations feel so alone, like no one cares. We care!!! Also, I appreciate that you tell stories sent to you that mention sensitive topics. I imagine it helps to be able to share their stories and know that we stand with them and against the perpetrators. It's also important to raise awareness so we can better protect ourselves and others, and work on making this world a safer, kinder one. Thank you for the wonderful narration as always, Raven!

Hey Raven. So glad I finally got your postcard. I did skip some of these. Not because I have been SAed but because I get VERY angry. All these stories make me happy I stayed single. I always had very respectful boyfriends and none ever laid a hand on me. My father brought me up that a man never laid a hand on a woman no matter what. My younger brother, though, use to beat on me and I never said anything. It stopped when one day he raised his hand to me in front of my boyfriend and it stopped. LOL. That was back in the 70's. Hope your week is going good. Love and lollipops.

I feel so bad that someone so young went through all that and had no one to turn to. She is and was a very strong person. I hope that even though she is so strong,. that she has people in her life now that treat her as she deserves to be treated and helps hold her up so she doesn't have to be strong all by herself. Oh and I think she should shout that creeps(not what I'd like to refer to him as because even "creep" is too nice of a term for someone like that) name as loud and far as possible. He shouldn't be able to do that to a young girl and have zero consequences!!

Raven I have to thank you for sharing 4&6 because while such stories can be painful for people, such as myself, to hear the people who endured it deserve to be heard. Everyone does. Its incredibly heartbreaking but those stories may also be what saves someone else from going through the same thing, or something even worse. So, again, thank you for stepping outside your normal comfort zone and sharing those. Gods know I never want anyone to ever go through what I or the people who submitted those stories did.

That first story is similar to what happened to me in the late 80s when I was in my early 20s. Instead of her town I was in Los Angeles driving home after hanging out at the 10 storey mall downtown. I was trying to find the freeway back to my town of La Crescenta and got lost in the 80s version of West Side Story. A gang of teen guys just appeared out of the dark and I almost hit one of them. He thumped my hood and I tore off. Too close a call for me.

Constructive criticism: these stories are heavily female focused. Do scary things late at night only happen to women? I get the feeling you are pandering to (what I assume is) a majority female audience that listens to your stories. If I’m wrong about that, I’m wrong but, either way, it would be nice to have a bit more balance...

Of these 7 stories, 4 were submitted directly to me and 3 were from Reddit. I don't write these stories so I have no say in how they are gendered. Over the last 28 days, my audience was 45.6% male, 52.6% female according to my analytics. There's no pandering going on here. If someone that was male had a scary story that fit the category, I would've used it

@@AsTheRavenDreams Big respect. I appreciate the reply. I guess I’m overly sensitive to what I personally perceived as a lot of narrators focusing on tragic stories with female victims. I need to take a step back and stop assuming it’s every narrator! Thanks again.

I appreciate the understanding. If someone has a story and they submit it to me, I will read it. Male, female, other- completely irrelevant to me. In this case, it just so happened that a the entire group was female.
