Story number five, Jake the dog, made me cry. My soulmate dog died almost a year ago. I had 3 dogs over 40 years. The first bonded closely with my young sons. The second, loved my husband best. The third, Buddy, a rescue pup, picked me. I miss him every day. Thank you Raven, for posting the beautiful parallel story of Jake.

I dream about my dog that died 29 years ago. Some are just him there, not acknowledging me, or he is associated with some dream character. In others he reacts if i call out to him. One dream was terrible. I had to make my way through all these obstacles to get to him, and he was sick and very week. I picked him up and was asking people around me for a vet to help him. He did die of cancer, so he did get very sick at the end. He also showed up in a dream after something bad happened to me. I think he acknowledged me by turning and looking at me when i said his name. It was so comforting and made me feel so much better.

I loved the story of the dog, Jake! On another note, It always makes me kind of sad to realize how confused these story-tellers are about what happened to them (glitches, parallel worlds, doppelgangers, etc.) as if it never happened to anyone else, whereas I know of hundreds of almost identical cases, not all of them in this century. I've been reading for 50 years about it until these things almost seem normal, as weird as they are. None of you are alone experiencing any of these things.

can i ask, where were these experiences found in written format 50 years ago? i honestly thought this was something that had just started happening more than it used to and growing in a kind of exponential way, so more and more began to happen in a shorter period of time. i know a lot of these videos contain a story or two from before 2000 but there are very few and i never really put into perspective that it might just be a lack of digital record, not just a lack of occurrence. i always kind of thought that if they happened before the internet, it would just be word of mouth amongst friends vs written record because it wasn’t widely experienced, and people were more concerned with “seeming crazy.” i would absolutely love to read records from a time before *The Matrix* was a popular concept or even a piece of media from pop culture lol

The last one was truly terrifying, I loved the dog story though.

Story 5 made me freakin cry. My current dog and I have that kind of relationship. She's an 11 year old American Bulldog, and she chose me when she was a puppy. She tried jumping from my mom's shoulder to me the day we went to get her. She is my literal dream dog, but she also reminds me so much of my lab that I grew up with. She also wasn't meant to be my dog. My mom bought her for her husband, but Sadie hated him.

I have a parallel story, I legit thought I saw another version of myself, I have a weird memory of being in an elevator with my mum and seeing a boy who looked exactly like me, I asked him if he was me and he nodded without saying a thing, idk if it was just a dream but I have a very vivid memory of that moment

I am a sucker for an animal story. The Jake story had me crying. Such a sweet story. Animals are the best. You can have carrot cake as an Easter cake. AAww Jake story so heart-warming. I love this series. Please keep it going. I have my own experiences but too tired to type about them...i. so confused about the things I've realised. Maybe someday.

I have had Lucid dreams, I would wake up, yet I don't think I was awake. I saw two different visual stimuli that truly cannot compare to our known reality. I heard a voice whilst I was waking my dog one morning, it was strong, bold, and loud shocked me. I am convinced that anything is possible, and I have been tuning into channels like yours that make me feel at home, challenging the idea of accepting everything we see on any given Sunday and embracing the possibility of more. So far my experiences have been quite simple compared to the vast of number of weirdness I have heard on KZread. Jakes story, made me so sad. I had quite a few dogs when I was younger. Now much older I have a Pug that is 10 and seeing him getting older and knowing that I will have to deal with his eventual passing.

I disagree- the author made it a point to mention that she and jake were meant to be together in all parallel existences, as if they were bound in all realities, which is why it was a parallel universe story. Perhaps it could have gone in a different collection, but in my opinion it fit in this one just fine.
