I love these stories so much. I usually listen to them on Spotify so I can listen to them in the background. I came here to share one of my own. When I was three years old I went on vacation with my family. We went to the beach. I vaguely remember my mom sitting in her chair. Then the next thing I remember was walking down the beach alone. I saw a huge sandcastle but not my family. I remember my mom saying that if I was ever lost I should find a mom, so I did. This stranger notified a lifeguard and I saw my mom in the back of a truck like vehicle with my older brother, sobbing. I thought I was gone for about 10-15 minutes, but apparently I was gone for about half an hour. Not just that, though. I had traveled 19 blocks all by myself. My mom recalls this story as she was watching me, looked down for one second, then when she looked back up I was gone. I was nowhere to be found. And as a three year old I knew I hadn’t walked off. I was sitting down anyways. So the questions are: how could a three year old who was sitting down seemingly disappear from existence for half an hour and travel 19 blocks all by herself? And her mom who was watching her not even see her around, running away? The weirdest thing is as a three year old I was convinced that “the wind took me”. So I have no idea what happened that day, but as a three year old, and still now, I’m sure that I didn’t walk off and I know I couldn’t have traveled that far alone with no memory of it then.

That shirt story also happened to me. I had a long sleeve green shirt that I got with a matching red shirt, went missing for years after searching hard for it, then one day, it shows up again.

Eh, dont worry bout that. The simulation just erred and failed to reload its .exe function. It caught up later, so that's always a good thing :0

Story 6 the missing money... remind me of my "event". So when I was very young like 5th grade(?) I tried to convince my parents to let me accompany dad on a trip to the UK. I was proving I was responsible by saving allowance and any other money. I saved... I want to guess $185 dollars to convert to £ ... well I convinced them. I kept the money in the drawer of my desk. I went to my desk... drawer... and the envelope with the money was gone. I emptied that drawer. There was only 1 actual drawer on the desk, and a few "slots" to put things in. (Side note my dad MADE that desk with a tiny bit of "help" from me so it wasn't like it had secrets.) Anyway I was let down, worried my parents would change their mind, etc. etc. but not only did they let me go they got the "same" amount of British money as I would have had if it hadn't vanished. I went on the trip. I had fun. I spent money. I came home. Life went on. And on. And on. Then the money showed up right were it should have been. Months later and in a drawer I used regularly. Maybe not daily but often. And I found it without looking. It was just there. Never really had an explanation for that. I mean it was right where I left it so "assumed" I somehow missed it when I really wanted/needed it... somehow.... I suppose it is theoretically possible my parents, or sister, stole the money, and paid it back eventually. But I doubt they'd have the gumption to do that. Also they are horrible liars so they probably couldn't have kept it secret that long.

Great story as always. I dont think you will see that many replays again. 243, bloody hell. Pages upon pages. It was late, it was dark and the rain had not stopped for days. The cold i had would not leave me, leaving me with no gumption to even cook. As i looked out the window and saw a man staring at me, a purge mask was coving his face, i found i had no gumption to scream for help as he started to open the unlocked window.

The outros are definitely all about decompression - I may tell scary stories, but that doesn't mean I can't spread some positivity in there 💜

My friends and I had one weird thing happen to us when we were about 18 (20) years ago. There were 5 of us riding in a car to go to a small get together at another friend's house. It was just starting to get dark and was absolutely pouring out, like a torrential downpour. We all lived in the country and were driving down a road about a mile from my house that we all knew and traveled all the time. On that road was an old abandoned dairy farm that had a giant boulder that sat out by the road. As we drove by this farm we all happened to look over and see a little girl approximately 6-8 years old dressed in a big beautiful dress that looked like it was from the 1800's. She was just sitting on that boulder soaking wet in the rain. Almost immediately the driver of the car stopped and said did everyone see that? We all simultaneously said yes! He instantly threw the car in reverse and said we should see if she is lost or needs help. In the ten seconds or so it took for him to stop the car and put it in reverse the girl disappeared. We got out and looked behind the boulder but she was gone. The nearest building was about 100 yards from the boulder and everything else was just an empty field. We never found out what happened to her but we all agree she was there one second and gone the next, it was creepy as hell.

Gumption is also a cleaning product in Australia. I always knew it as meaning "maximum effort" until I moved down under.

After coming back to work after a week long vacation, I really wanted to do nothing more than go to bed. I had the gumption though to listen to the video, and was surprised to hear my story. All of them were great, but the last one is too freaky. How on earth did the pendant end up on the fan blade?

When I was very young, so was television. There were lots of old western movies on tv, as well as western weekly series. I associate the word gumption with those tv shows and old movies. People regularly accused others of lacking gumption. Or wished they had the gumption to do a difficult deed.

Nice channel! interesting stories. I've heard similar ones with a ring and a cieling fan from a close friend. It 'dissapeared' from his gf's finger and appeared in the chain above a light fixture in another room- not sure how they found it but they were freaking out. Years later, he took his life, unrelated to this event, but his name is very similar to the skier that went missing in Ontario and wound up in California somehow with no idea how he got there. I know- strange comment.. but , It's true
