I spend 7 days, and nights at the off grid log cabin in the woods camping out on my trap line looking to get beaver for a delicious wild game meal. I also cook bear meat, and other foods I have collected throughout the year while being in the woods. Thanks to Jackery for sponsoring this video!
HISEA BOOTS: www.hisea.com/
The log cabin was built by hand a couple years ago, and is where we boil our maple sap down to maple syrup. It makes for a delicious topping to our pancakes.
I have also been using the log cabin as a place to stay when I hunt or trap, as it is located deep in the woods bringing me close to wild game like ducks, turkey, beaver, muskrat, and is located next to our dug out trout pond full of rainbow.

I forgot to mention in my comment a friend gave me both back legs from a large beaver. I smoked them up on my pellet grill. To me it’s very beefy dark meat with only a slight game taste.

@@TheWoodedBeardsman I don't mean turn the trap sideways, just slide the trigger to the side, bend one wire straight, close to the trap side, the other one only a little into the opening. The beaver will see a larger opening without obstruction. I noticed on your previous video, the beaver got out of the water, and walked around your trap. Beavers do not like to get out of the water and expose themselves to predation.

It really depends on temperature - and air exposure. If the animal isn't open, it can be aged a lot longer unless the animal is super warm like a deer with large volume. It's really no rules about it, you just have to pay attention to what's happening. Length of time at temp is what you're watching.

Why don’t you just find there den and put trap right in front of it so they have to go through it that has always worked the best for me going through my property is a creek called beaver dam creek and that is no lie they are all over the place. But den sets work every time
