OVERNIGHT, and BEAVER BURGERS at Log Cabin! - Massive Beaver Trap, Suns Up, Turkeys, Planked Trout

Ойын-сауық

Day 2 and 3 at the log cabin in the woods is spent relaxing in the sun, setting more beaver traps with my son Holden and cooking beaver burgers over the fire.
Big thanks to Nature's Pond Care: www.naturespondcare.com/ for supplying this windmill for the trophy trout pond!
For sales information and to purchase a Koenders Windmill, please call 1-877-888-7707 or visit: www.koenderswatersolutions.com
Revive with Koenders Windmill Aeration Systems
Aeration is a safe, natural and sustainable way to keep your pond or lake healthy and balanced. By increasing oxygen levels, our aerators improve the circulation of your water and speed up the decomposition of organic matter, which:
- Reduces algae blooms and deters weed growth
- Eliminates pond odors by venting off harmful gases
- Reduces fish kill during hot and cold weather by dissolving increased levels of oxygen in the water when the fish need it most
- Enhances the benefits of Nature’s Pond Conditioner
Bottom-Up Aeration Windmills
- Eco-friendly - no electricity required, powered by the wind!
- Best windmill on the market in low-wind regimes, capturing the most cubic feet of air per month
- Bottom-up aeration - Effectively dissolves oxygen into all levels of water for healthier pond life, 6-8 X more effective than surface/fountain aeration. Can also circulate water along the shoreline with multiple diffusers to deter weed growth
- No maintenance required - Reduces your power bill with no monthly costs
- Different sizes available - Available with Single Diaphragm or Dual Diaphragm compressors, which allow for aeration of all sizes of ponds 1/4 acre and larger
Wind Powered Aeration
Harness the power of the wind and save money on your energy bills with our windmill aeration systems.
Our windmills are made of the highest quality materials, ensuring years of worry-free aeration for your pond or dugout.
Industry Leading Build Quality
Bottom-Up Aeration for Your Pond
Works in Low Wind Conditions
Low Maintenance
Easy to Assemble
Eco-Friendly Pond Aeration
What type of windmill do you need?
That depends on the size and shape of your pond.
Single Diaphragm: Smaller ponds up to one acre - up to 25 feet deep.
Double Diaphragm: Irregular shaped or a pond bigger than one acre - up to 25 feet deep.
Single Diaphragm Windmill Aeration Systems come with 100 feet of Polytubing Airline and 1 Airstone Diffuser with Foot Valve.
Double Diaphragm Windmill Aeration Systems come with 200 feet of Polytubing Airline, 2 Airstone Diffusers with Foot Valves, and a 2 Way Selector Valve.
The difference between single or double diaphragm? Double Diaphragm = Double Air Volume.
If your pond or dugout is surrounded by tall trees, a taller tower may be a good idea.

Full Stop! It's always full stop when I watch one of your videos Chris, they deserve nothing less! You should put a snare trap under the spring trap so that when the beaver thinks he is outsmarting you by going under it he sticks his head in the snare and you've got him.

Adding some large sized gravel and some smaller sized gravel to the pond would help with the clarity. If you guys feel the pond needs improving in the future some washed large gravel would probably help improve things more then large-sized stone now. creating a filter medium that traps that silt at the bottom of the pond would defiantly help along with the geo textile you already used.

Instead of cherry or grape tomatoes, try to get your hands on some Campari tomatoes. They're small, on the vine, tomatoes that are about the size of golf balls, just enough bigger than cherries to be sliced and put on a burger like pickle slices. Very robust acidic flavor for a store-bought tomato. Beaver trapper's, UNITE!!!!

Getting the kid out their in the bush, even if it’s not his favorite thing to do, is amazing. Our children need to understand where we came from, how we made it through life before fast food restaurants and working plumbing. If they don’t want to pursue it I think it’s important that they understand.

Been watching and enjoying your content. Couple quick points. A lot of the sign you are showing doesn’t appear to be very fresh…. I know you’ve got beaver on trail cam, so they are there but seem a little conibear shy. I’ve had luck in the past with well made #2 footholds center swiveled to 8ft of chain and a grapple. I’d use this for trap shy beaver. Aim for a front foot catch! As long as I used small traps with plenty of swivels, I never had them twist off. Thanks!!!

Nah, crawdads wouldn't cause any issue that the land couldn't handle. Seed everything you can. Your spending $on a trout feeder. The more complete you can make that aquatic system the better everything will thrive from the biodiversity each species brings. Layer the bioaccumulation. Bugs, aquatic plants, Minnows, mud bugs, pan fish, bass, trout. Fill her up. It's a small pond shouldn't be hard to get a solid little ecosystem running so you don't HAVE to spend money on feed, and you'll have options

very interesting video ! thank you for that. I have just one observation, your son, seems to hate everything that he is doing,he is hateing everything that you are telling him. plus he looks extremely bothered being out there with you.
