Really enjoy how you make the most out of the property, I'm sure it's a bit easier being closer to home. Appreciate anything you make for us, and in my opinion it's really sad that so many "fans" get upset that you have sponsors and occasionally make a different kind of video. I found your channel through the cabin build and I'm typically more interested in your brother's content as a homesteader DIY'er myself. With that being said I have watched all of your videos as I do have a passion for the outdoors. Whatever you're doing you make it entertaining and it's enjoyable. True fans are here for your personality above anything else and are happy to see that you can gain some benefit by taking some time to speak about and feature your sponsors.
Leeches freak me out. Great video!
Full stop! Really enjoyed this! Thank you, glad to see that you're back!
It is pretty sad and annoying that every bushcrafting youtuber has to go out of their way to make it clear that the trees they're using were already dead in order to appease the whiny babies who don't understand that trees grow back.

It's the unfortunate reality. Or you get negative comments, and YT will literally dump your video. Survival (or really, just being healthy, competitive, successful) isn't a very popular notion in this communist directed environment.

Well done on catching the beaver! Have to say it looked good! I do learn things from watching your videos very informative I feel! Take care looking forward to seeing more!

Great concept for a video! Thankyou for going through the hard slog of surviving in the swamp for us, you're a true woodsman 😊.
I love this one because it is the whole shooting match, lots of work, truly tough challenge and catching the beaver tops it off nicely. I do not at all mind the length, great job.

Alright. Few little things to remember if your in a swampy waterlogged area. Make sure you have a rough map/idea of where there is some high/solid ground to evacuate to if a big storm hits. Also if the mud is a bit hard to get out look for floating plants to make your fire base out of. Especially if they have a lot of mass. Edit. Other than that epic. Also if it is something that your going to keep coming back too you can improve it on every visit. An extra few polls some wire etc. to tie it up better.
I love your humor 😂😂😂😂😂 the trees 😂😂😂

Hey Chris question. Would it be better to have your tripod closer to your platform so if you need it once you a settled on your platform you can still get to it? Also I can only imagine the calories you are burning just “walking” through that swamp. Let alone all of that work you did. Plus you don’t really have a steady intake of calories. I did hear several frogs. So I guess that could have been another good source if needed. That is probably a lot of work for very few reward. Not a lot of meat on frog legs. Super cool video. I know you like to challenge yourself & share & educate us viewers. Thanks for going out there & doing all of that AND recording it.

Sorry I posted that before I was done watching. I see you moved your stuff to your platform & moved the tripod. 😂
@TheWoodedBeardsman

I did move the tripod close after I built the platform, so yes. I wanted the tripod out of the way during the build, and then use it to boil water after I got the fire built. If I wasn't boiling water at night, I could use it to keep my things dry, but also had the posts by then to take over. Yes, this was by far, my hardest physically. I was crushed for a few days recovering after. Nothing about building this was easy. The green frogs, are not permitted to hunt, but I think you COULD eat them (I'm not sure), only bullfrogs are legal.
@lpschick7237
12 күн бұрын
@@TheWoodedBeardsman you need a shirt that says “I talk to beavers” 🤣. That was cool. Never seen that before. I live in Ohio & we have 13 different frogs. I had no idea we had that many. So I watched a video of their sounds. We always have a ton of peepers & bull frogs. The green frog sounds like a stretched out rubber band being plucked. Where I am out now has a bunch in the ponds.
@TheWoodedBeardsman

@@lpschick7237 You got it! Bullfrogs are legal here in July. It's the only one we can take. We have loads of green frogs, and spring peepers. And toads are all inedible. Those are the only real frogs we mostly see here. It's a bit too cold for more variety I think. Frogs are good eating, but probably not very high calories! Beaver is for sure the ticket.
