These are some beautiful knives. My grandpa who is now 103 years old still has his Schrade pocket knife.
278 Had a Barlow 40 years ago....loved it, untin someone decided that they needed it more than I did

I like the Barlow, My dad has carried a Barlow ever since I can remember

GREAT VIDEO!! Just discovered the hobby that'll work for me! My favorite knives are Buck, but I will definitely pick up a few "Whittling knives From Schrade.. Guys listen to this old timer;; EVERY FATHER/GRANDFATHER needs to past down a few "Traditional" Keepsake Items before they leave this earth.. That's when your family misses you most. . I'm not a wealthy guy by any means, but I have firearms, and a few beautiful knives that hopefully my family will appreciate and enjoy after I depart. . .. It doesn't have to be a '57 Chevy, although that'd be terrific, just a few small items to remind everyone you were here. . :)

DJ F I just discocered thid hobby that works for me tol...because one of the American icons, buck knive 110 attracts me. Can I use a hunter knife to whittle? Have you tried?

Haha... I have the same ideas of having some family keepsakes. My dad left me a longine watch. I already bought a zippo lighter. But nothing beats something you created from scratch and leave it for your sons and many ...grandsons to come.

Good for gals too. I loved my Grandpa. He was a willow cane and Badlands Cedar carver. Albert M. Sherva was his name. Lost him in the early years. I still remember him deeply....and his knives.
