Thanks for going old school. Something good about using a simple vintage pocket knife like the old timers did. I keep forgetting I'm the old timer now. Lol😊

I love the idea of using a pocket knife as the only carving tool. Thank you for sharing Van.

As you were carving the lower eyelid and the camera zoomed in I could see the knife tip flexing I was gritting my teeth, I too have my dad's pocket knife and wouldn't want anything happen to it. You obviously have done that before. Great job

That was fun watching you do that. I have a Case Seahorse whittler that I spent time sharpening and carry it when we go to the campground. It’s fun to mess with. I also have a Schrade Old Timer wood carver that’s almost impossible to sharpen. Neither of these compare to my OCCT knives. Thanks again.

Could you PLEASE demonstrate how to get my whittling blades flat ground. I'm just not getting it. I have mostly 6inch DMT Diamond plates and Sand paper and loads of cheapish knives to practice on and want no bevel blades like occ tools from Mike Shipley. Im desperate!!!!!!!! ATB. Pete. Ps. I'm not fooling with the 3 Shipley till I have to, just stropping them till i've mastered the technique.
