Excellent explanation of a topic that seems to create a lot of questions. Just like anything else, each style of blade has pros and cons depending on your intended use. Thanks for creating this. - Bryan
Straight to the point video, I like the SCH104L. It's a very versatile blade and suits my needs perfectly. Good luck everyone.
Always been a fan of the drop point. It's just a classic look that feels right in the outdoors!
I am liking these how to videos, especially when they are giveaways as well! I have had people tell me that they like them and learned something. So that's awesome! Thank you Schrade for the great videos and the great generosity you show with your giveaways!
I absolutely love Schrade knives and gear. Thanks for all your great giveaways!
The spear tip is by far my favorite! Very useful for hunting!
I collect self-defense knives primarily (and carry them), and the SCHOTF3 is unlike any other I have. Great video detailing the uses of different configurations, thanks for the chance!
The drop point is more my speed like the SCHF9N. It's the style blade I was reared with by my father & grandfather. A good knife should work just as good around the house/ranch as in the woods. From hunting to fixing posts, good blade shape.
i love the sleek look of the sch303. i have never seen a drop point that looks as "sharp" (pun intended) as this one does. keep up the great work guys!
I like the SCHOTF3 myself. It fills the whole in my smaller collection of blades. And it adds another great Schrade knife for me to carry with me.
I like this video telling about the different points. I would like the SCHO303 Drop Point because I like the toughness of it . It is an all around blade to use for many things around the camp.
I would love to have the SCH303, because I use my knives for various things and i think that a drop point would fill the bill. I love these quick tip videos that you guys are putting up. I am learning quite a bit from them.
I am a huge fan of Drop Point blades, I have them in my car, on me, in my shop and in my house. I generally carry a Spear Point when I go bow hunting because you never can tell when you are going to need it. I do not have a Tonto point knife but would love to have a good one so if I where to choose that would be it. That strong point combined with the second point for cutting is right up my alley
A tanto blade covers all aspects in my POV. In my line of work a blade that won't let you down when you need it is crucial. Schrade has me covered with quality and reliability.
Great coverage of basic blade shapes, I enjoyed it lots! I loved the warnings about owning a double edged knife. I like the SCH104L clip point. I have two other Schrade folders, a tanto and a drop point SCH501. One is a liner lock, the other a frame lock (tanto SCH301). I love both knives but I like the beefy lockup of the frame lock more. The g10 scale on the SCH104L is also a plus!!! Thanks to all you guys at Taylor Brands for all the extras you bring to the table!!!!
Good informative video! I'd love to get my hands on the SCH301! It's a pretty sturdy tanto and would fit my semi-hard-use EDC needs perfectly!
I'm in need of a good drop point blade. I think the SCH0303 is the blade I may be looking for. This video helped me decide which blade would best work for what I need. Thank you!
The SCHF19 looks like a great blade! I have never used a spear point, but I have found many of the other blades and found them very useful!
I like the tanto blade myself. It's just a blade I like the best and find most useful! Great video!
I like 'em all but the SCH303 drop point would be my preference. Thanks for the great giveaways, very generous of you!
My hubby and I like the Tanto blade the best! It looks the coolest and we've never had one like that! Thanks!
The drop point SCH103 would be my choice. I love that it's very versatile. It's also comforting knowing it can handle almost anything you put it through.
GREAT VIDEO! Clear and precise explanation. Salute! 💪🏽
As usual another great video from Schrade. I would like the SCH301. I need a knfe for piercing and aggressive overall cutting. I find the Tanto style perfect for everyday tasks I run into. And the SCH301 with frame lock I trust more than a liner lock. For me this knife fits the ticket. And being made by Schrade I can be assured it's built tough for everyday use.
Informational, thanks. I'm liking the drop point, crossing my fingers
I want the SCH104L.The clip point is one of my favorite styles of blades, and for my needs it's the best.
I'd love to get my hands on a SCH303. Great looking knife, framelock and I'm a huge drop point fan.
i may be wrong but isnt it Tanto, plz forgive me if i am

no worries, you are right on that, it is tanto, not tonto............don't trust schrade knives BTW
I like the spear or tanto SCHOTF knives. I just ordered the SCHOTHG. I like quality of knive you guys make. Awesome products
Love the SCH303. The tough Drop Point blade is ready to get any job done!
A very good video of a the know how series. I like the SCH301, I love tantos
love the design and sturdiness of the SCH301!
I love the drop point. SCH303. Great video
I would love the SCHF9! Suits my needs while camping, hiking, etc. perfectly. They are all beauties!
Excellent explanation of a topic often confusing to most people, personally i would greatly appreciate any of your knives, but I am a fan of the traditional Japanese Tantō blades
Very informative video. I like the spear point blade the most, but all are awesome knives.
I would like to have the SCH303 because I like the shape and because I don't have any drop point blade and this is great for my first drop point knife.Schrade please keep making "how to videos"
SCH303 You guys always give away cool stuff
SCH303 Drop point! But they are ALL great blades! Thanks Schrade!!!!!
If I were to be chosen I would want an SCH301. I've always been a huge fan of tanto style knives and you guys know just how to pull it off with looks, function, and durability. Your knives always look like $100+ quality.
ok i loved this video, it showed me the next 2 knives i believe the hubby would love. i think my # 1 is the SCH 301, that tonto blade looks like it would be ideal for him with the rugged point and the next choice is the SCH 303 with the drop blade, looks very durable and would survive even him :) thanks for always keeping me informed on the latest and best products!!
I like the SCH303 Drop point knife, it fit's everything I do, from skinning small to large game while hunting, to doing Bushcrafting and all around camp knife.
I definitely need a SCH303 with a big belly for some bush crafts. A thick strong spine is a plus. This video was very informative.
LOVE the SCH303 & SCH104l. I prefer a drop point, but love a clip point for a folder. SCHRADE has a GREAT VALUE for price. You are not just buying a name, you WILL use it,and it will preform EXCELLENTLY.
I really like the schrade spear point folder .it is just the ticket for my needs.
MORE GREAT TIPS FROM SCHRADE.I LOVE THESE VIDEOS AS THEY ALWAYS HAVE GREAT TIPS.I LIKE THE SPEAR POINT BLADES (I WOULD LOVE THE SCHRADE SCH,9 I THINK THAT ITS A GREAT KNIFE.!!) THANKS AGAIN SCHRADE FOR THE GREAT VIDEOS.!!
Great blade and video, as usual.
I really want the SCH303 with the big belly and is awesome for helping out in the woods. Awesome design and great looks I couldn't go wrong with it. . Keeping my fingers crossed
I would love the Sch303!!! Love it. Thank you
i like the SCH104L! also your VO guys is the best.
Love the SCH303. I used my knife everyday, for all different type of stuff. It would get the job done
Great video guys i like a tanto blade so th SCH301 for me and thanks for the great videos
good tips ill keep in mine I think the schf9 will fit my outdoor needs
Great video guys. I personally carry a tanto with half serration.
I like the drop point for its versatile utility I like my edc to be able to handle whatever job I throw at it
Great video. I kind of knew the difference but it was a nice refresher. I carry a drop point every day. A spear point would be nice but I am looking to get a tanto as an alternate edc.
Drop point - the SCH303. I like the all around utility use of drop points. And like the video said, can't beat the strength of the tip.
I LOVE the SCHOTF3! I don't have any double sided knives and would really like one from a quality company that I know is going to lest for years to come!
I am a big fan of Tanto point blades so I would choose that SCH301. I just sharpened my CRKT M16-14T last night. Not a Tanto point, but still a very nice nice. Would be nice to add another Schrade to my collection!
Love these "How To Videos"!!! Would really like to have the SCHOTF3 !!! I don't have a spear point knife & this would be an awesome addition !!!
The SCH301 impresses me as being the most versatile. I'd love to win this one!
I like the SCH104L - a drop point design suits my over all needs best. Great video, btw.
as always schrade has good folder n good fix blades im loving the SCHOTF3 spear point. i dont own any spear point. i hike a lot i think to have something i can attach to a long stick n use to for protection is always a good things to have. and it looks amazing
i have some of all, but I like the tanto blade on this one. thx guys
I have all manner of blade designs, and love them all for different reasons. BTW, that SCH104L would be a nice addition.
I like drop point the best since it seems the most versatile.
I like clip point and tanto. That Sch104L is nice. Great video. Definitely learned a thing or two. Wish I didn't live in California, I really like the otf knives. But the sch104L is a beauty! Definitely make a great EDC! FINGERS CROSSED!!!
@Schradeknives, @SchradeKnives, I really like the SCHOTF3 for every day carry.
I like the SCH303 the most. The drop points strength and versatility is just what I need here in the desert.
OMG-How could I pick just one to have? All of them are wonderful blades! I do like the drop point blade! Thanks!

I like tanto and drop point blades
I found the video to be very informative. I would like the SCH303. I think it would be better for my everyday needs.
definitely had to share it again. Like every single day. :-) Great video very informative
I'd love to own one of the SCH104L. I already have tanto and drop point style blades in my collection of knives that I carry, but I don't have any clip point knives. It would be a welcome addition.
Love the drop point it's strong and takes a beating.
I'm really liking that Tanto blade. Nice.
SCH104L This is the knife that I would love to add to my collection and here is why... Out of the four knives that are shown above this is the one I think would be best for me. It is large enough to be useful for most tasks but not a intimidating knife like the first one you show. It has a clip-point blade that is easy to sharpen but not to wide like the drop-point knife. It also looks like a fairly comfortable knife for long days with the drop point blade that I prefer for carving.
I love the drop point but would love a tonto point to add to my EDC. The SHC303 is an awesome knife.
Would love to try the SCH301 because I've never had a tanto blade before. I like the looks.
I like the drop point, I think I would get he most use out of that type. Living in Florida and it being hurricane season and having been through hurricanes down here, you really have to have a good dependable knife for the clean up.
Good info. So many choices. I like tanto blades. The SCH301 would make a great edc knife.
great vid! all the interested beginners should see and learn from this:)
The SCH303 is really the best pick for me..I could really use this in my bag
Great video's I would like schotf3 spear point looks good
I would like the SCH303 drop point blade as a good all around knife. Thanks for the chance.
I would love a schf9. Having a versatile blade would be a great addition to my pack
So that's what the tanto-blade is all about! I would want the SCH303 though. It looks super cool and strong.
I'd love the sch303 because I've never owned a drop point folder and it'd be a great for an everyday carry knife!
I like the spear point, even though I do not have one, but I do really like the Drop Point for its versatility, preferably a fixed blade, that is another one on my bucket list of knifes that i would love to have. I have a Tonto blade already and like it as well, I would like to do a comparison my self when I can get all four designs to see what would suit me best. Thanks for another great video
If i could have just one i would pick the Sch104L clip point! Your give aways are great!
The SCH303 DROP POINT is just what I need to help around home or in the woods..:)
Would LOVE to win one of the SPEAR Knifes they look so AWESOME !
SCH104L with clip point is best for me. Would love to have one. It looks like it would be the most comfortable in my hand and versatile enough for most any of my needs.
They are all awesome, but I don't have any spear point knives yet so I'd go with that. I would love to have one to attach to my bag as a quick defensive knife if needed
First off great video and keep them coming. Secondly i love the SCHOTF3 because 1. It is named after my favorite kind of snake. 2. I don't have one. 3. I want one. 4. it looks like it would be good protection against whatever nature has to throw at me.
Would love a SCH104L!! I already have a SCH301 that I absolutely love, but is a bit heavy to carry with shorts at work. Love my Schrades!!
good video I personally like the tanto blade for its over all utility but I like spear point for fighting and would like to win the spear point
i have all those styles of knives except for the tanto so i guess i would just love to get the tanto SCH301 style to put in my little collection
Another great video guys and i like the tanto blade so the SCH301 for me please
want and need the Drop Point, great video
I like my 2.25 inch tanto blade folding knife. it even has a serrated edge halfway down. it's hard to find a knife in this size that it complies with all the local ordinances in Illinois. that is, except for one place that requires 1.5 inch or less...
