    I hate this idea. Knifes are a weapon as well as a tool. More moving parts the more likely it’ll break.

    Do not buy these knives. They won’t respond to you if you get a lemon. I used to buy Schrade when it was an American company and not a shell private equity company trading off the good reputation of is predecessor. You can get a higher quality knife from a gas station.

    We have completely revamped our lineup to offer a steel minimum of AUS-10 while adding in Made in the USA options with D2 and S35VN. Let us know when you find that steel quality at a gas station.

    @@SchradeKnives I have gas station knives ($20 Titan OTF) that have lasted for years and aside from junk knives, I am a collector with hundreds of knives. My Schrade Uproar Tactical OTF came broken in a way I was unable to fix and your post is the first acknowledgement I have received from the "manufacturer". I can forgive a bad knife, it happens, but I cannot forgive getting shined on by customer service. By far the worst experience I have had purchasing a knife (Was actually a gift, which is sad). For an $80 made in Taiwan knife, I would expect a lot better. Even Alibaba vendors answer me, and I don't really expect them to. Schrade is too good apparently. Not like I tried once, I tried several times via the site and email. I will continue to tell as many people as I can what a terrible company you are, nothing to do with the original Schrade. For Taiwanese, better off to buy a Boker Kalashnikov, Cold Steel or almost anything else.

    Honestly I've had something like this for years. I think its funny that the hunting/skining knife companies have just caught up in the last few years. Mine takes #60 scalpel blades. I use it to process game. Saves me a whole lot of time sharpening knives. I just think its funny how many people get upset at these. But hey most people couldnt process game if they had a step by step video😂. Probably jamming it into bones the whole time.

  • @SchradeKnives
    @SchradeKnives11 күн бұрын

    Very True! which is why over 95% of our lineup is the perfected technology you speak of. Replaceable blade knives are preferred by some for hunting and edc due to sharp blades and them being replaceable. Everyone has their preference which is why we have all of the above.

    Ah yes, the knife that nobody should own in a survival situation. Bro, I'd like to live not have to change the blade of my knife every time I use it to cut wood. There is a reason why boxcutters are replaceable while survival knives just needs sharpening. You're missing the point by inventing this.

  • @SchradeKnives
    @SchradeKnives11 күн бұрын

    This knife is typically used for hunting or lower stress EDC. We would not recommend cutting wood with this. If that's up your alley, check out our machetes and bushcraft fixed blades at www.schrade.com/outdoorlifestyle
