Interesting, but I think that the context of who you are with and the situation at hand plays a role. A person who is beta in one set of circumstances may be delta in another set and gamma in yet a third set.

Just like other personality tests like Myers Briggs. It shows that each type has strengths that play important roles in society

I believe there are only 3 personality types: Alphas (leaders), Betas (followers), and Sigmas (loners). Although each man may have a dominant personality type, I also believe a man can be either of the 3 based on the situation. However, when u include other personalities such as Gammas, Omegas, and Deltas, it's too much overlap and imo, just doesn't make sense.

There is no academic research to back up any of this. This Greek letter mail personality crap is coming out of the incel community. Occasionally these videos will mention the book the wolf. That book is about animal behavior and was later rejected by its own author.

Do you know why Sigma's like to be alone ? Its not because they are loners. How long would you last in a yr 1 playground before you got bored ? To a Sigma , thats the world. He feels like he is surrounded by unintellectual people where ever we go and eventually it gets frustrating .

I would agree, but there are real gammas out there. The ones who what everybody to believe they're more then they are. I put betas above gammas.

I'm not sure why Omegas are bottom of the pecking order when they are the lone wolves. Surely they should be top.

Many of these types have traits that overlap each other.

Recent years I've taken an interest in psychology and human behavior. I've learned out of all the personality traits they put out there these days I'm definitely most fitting of a Sigma. Feels like that one has taken a page out of my life's journal or something.

There is overlap in types but I think they are useful if you don’t look at them as rankings but as groupings with positives and negatives. Regardless of what a person thinks they are or wishes they were, if you look at how you earn a living, how you relate to women (or men if you’re gay) and what your friend group looks like…you’ll have a pretty good idea of which group you fall in

And a sigma leads by example unlike an alpha. People highly respect someone who leads by example.

I have come to learn and love being an Omega male.

Seeing it from my perspective I have experienced each of these types in my lifetime. I tried to be Alpha-like when I was young but wasn't bossy enough to maintain it. Beta wasn't my type because I was too self oriented. My teenage years I was more Gamma-like shifting towards Sigma-like. After my first marriage fell apart I was definitely Delta-like, but didn't remain that way. I feel I'm going through the Omega phase now. Shifting between Omega and Gamma. I do like my alone time but also need time with my wife. Yes I got a second wife. 15 years with her and happy. These personality videos really can be confusing. Takes a lot of thought and discerning to try to figure them out. I figured out that I'm not Sigma and bouncing between Gamma and Omega.

Interesting, I have all these traits, but the last one sigma is probably the one I identify with most, im confident but im no leader or follower and I enjoy being by myself most of the time.

I feel like I do not belong particularly to any of these traits, mainly because I observe some overlapping between personalities, as well as different characteristics among various personalities. It was very important to mention at the beginning of the video that eveyone is unique in their own way and that there may be a tendency to fall into one of these categories rather than fully be represented or labelled by one in particular. Nonetheless, whne I analyse myself, I come to the conclusion that I am a kind, loyal person and, therefore, I could be seen as a beta male, but I do not want to follow specific societal standards like modern trends, nor specifically following the will and opinions of Alpha males, as I find most of them egocentric and materialistic rather than inclusive, motivating, and inspiring. I find especially problematic how the charismatic and decisive behaviour of Alpha males can induce a certain way of thinking among society, as most people are blatantly following their claims merely due to their confidence while talking, and the egoistic behaviour of several Alpha males would eventually make them poisoned by fame and luxury, and would face controversies just to obtain the attention they want. I do not want to generalise, because there are Alpha males that would work together with others to archieve a progress for them and the others, as a leader should do, but I often see Alpha male personalities that act only in their own interest and completely ignoring other people needs. Anyways, the fact that I do not want to follow certain standards and being sometimes introverted and sometimes extraverted, does not give me a clear signal of where I belong, because I could be a Beta male, but also an Omega male. Definitely I am not an Alpha male nor a Sigma male since I lack confidence and determination, but I am extremely happy with what I am, wherever I belong, because I want to be a nice, loving person, and if I were to become one of those two personalities mentioned above, I would see myself eventually losing this trait which I see it as one of the best aspect of my personality. Logical reasoning and scientific proofs are more likely to make me believe of specific facts rather than arrogance, confidence and determination. I have no simpathy to those individuals.

Yes, it should not at all be thought of as wolves fighting. I think its funny that because someone applied it incorrectly in one case people pretend that people don't often have similar character traits, motivations, natural tendencies and tactics used to get what they want. Psychologists use models and guidelines like this often. Yes, we are all unique. But also, we as herd animals tend to have similarities as well. Nobody has all archetypes pegged perfectly and never will. It should constantly be evolving and not considered absolute. Why psychology like history are almost more arts than sciences in a way. It's approached in a scientific manner, but we all must know that nobody REALLY knows for certain. It does feel like those who reject these models out right do have some insecurities about them though... Like, a little on the nose huh? Lol
