👏👏 AMEN so there was this guy, If he text and I no reply straight away for a legit reason like I was at work, he be mad, and say I m bad at communication then when I initiate and iniate, its complain complain. Then I stop cuz I m like ure turn, NEVER even texts. Then me just texts right, and its also my fault that we were not talking. 🙄🤦 What a headache I tell ya.

For most of us women, we all have a deep down gut feeling when a guy isn’t interested. We just don’t want to admit it to ourselves and need reassurance that we’re right. What we all need to do is start trusting our feelings and stop wasting time and energy on these guys who aren’t interested!

It actually is most of the time very obvious when a guy is no longer interested, but we have a difficult time letting go, because at one time...He WAS interested and we thought he was The One. We look past broken promises and him not paying attention to any details. Ughhh. It's happening to me right now with this guy. WHY do I have such low self-esteem that I need to put myself through this crap?? What the Hell is Wrong with me? So this guy wants to break up with me. I asked him please let's see if it will work just a while longer I miss you. OH My God. I should record myself and listen to how pathetic I sound.

You're right. It has made us very impatient. In former days you just waited for the time you ran into the guy again and now you text and if you don't get answers right away that is a bad sign. What if a guy just wants to learn to know you the old fashioned way? Just meeting in public some times before he starts to show more interest... I really don't know whether texting a lot or not means so much.

@@anjagoller I would also like to suggest men to just not use texting as their primary form of communication. Communication is one of THE most important key in any relationship. 55% of communication happens through body language alone. Texting is a poor mode of communicating because it's soooooo easy to misinterpret even a stupid emoji and that can ruin a budding romance. It's very one-dimensional. Men - Please use texting as little as possible and call a woman instead. We don't give you our numbers to become penpals. We LOVE hearing your voices!

As a guy, I can confirm this. This is what I did to a girl I really liked; hanging out with her, texting her, flirting, throwing hints, asking her out etc. She knew I was on a mission, but she was either too nervous/shy or simply didn't know how to respond to that or wasn't really interested at the moment, so I stopped pursuing her. She noticed and told me I've changed, I basically told her it would be better for us to stay friends. After I told her that, she started pursuing me, but I wasn't interested anymore.

It depends on why he is pursuing. It depends on what he is wanting, why he is wanting it, who can give that to him, how he is going to get it, etc. If whatever he is pursuing isn't there any more then is he really into the person or something he can get from them, etc. etc.? A guy that isn't pursuing might like someone too, or even more...it just all depends on what's going on. In some people's lives you might be their stepping stone or a pillar top.

I used to be “In the Blue” with almost everyone (friends and family) but when I became busy with uni and work, it all changed

Being busy is fine, but texting and falling off the face of the earth in the middle of a short interchange... i get sick of it. I said jokingly, "your habit of texting and tossing your phone into the sunset is duly noted." I tried to be nice but then said "nice knowing you." He replied immediately about how he's bad at texting back. I never replied. It's so rare to find a decent guy that's witty in person and actually texts back or whatever.

Yes- most of these relationship advice/whatever skills apply to friendships and all relationships. Respect, effort, communication, showing up.

Texting, in my opinion literally sucks the life out of any potential.. anything! It's so completely ridiculous dating these days. First, there's the "hookup culture" that we seem to be drowning in. Then, a lack of interest in intimacy and getting to know one another. Instead, it's "oh send me a picture, oh do you have an IG"? what is this? I feel like it's a job interview, or an audition for a magazine or a TV show. Why can't a man, just be a freaking man? Ask me out, if you don't like me, say so, I'm a big girl. Stop with the ghosting. Why are people so afraid to be vulnerable and say how they feel? It's been a hard, but valuable lesson. I will continue to value ME, and be okay with being "alone" until somebody comes along who's worthy enough of my time and affections. 💜 #selflovefirst.

It’s going around it seems. Same thing happened to me. My mistake was giving him excuses like, “he’s just not into his phone as much as most people.” 🙄 It would take him a week to text me but he would reply to my texts within a reasonable timeframe. He was nice enough in the end to tell me that he wasn’t emotionally invested.

Mine went from quick replies and talking all the time, to many many hours in-between, to no communication at all. I asked if we were friends or talking, and he said just friends, and I said that's fine just don't flirt with your new found female friend (I tried to play it cool because of his mixed signals from the beginning tbh). The following texts convos made me feel like he was confused and scared, and honestly I was too, but then that's when we stopped talking, and I then removed him from my social media. Part of me feels like 7 months was wasted to have us ending up with no communication at all or a true sense of closure, and I am disappointed, but not mad. Lessons were learned though.

Thanks ! That's just confirmed the last guy that "doesn't want a relationship"(followed by list of excuses) but "really like to be friends(with benefits?)". Then all I got after would be a 'hook' text every couple of weeks, but I think he was taking the piss so I didn't bite, but send back an equally inflammatory response. He scored 4 out of 5 on this, glad I didn't get too blue and just got on with my life and made new, better friends who respect my standards

Excellent advice, as usual! Though, when we were courting (kinda--we were still maintaining we were "just good friends"...), I was "in the blue". He texted me pretty often, and usually replied quickly, but I wrote tomes, he just a line or two. I'm ALWAYS so excited to receive a text from my boyfriend. And even though he just 2 days ago "out of the blue" he seriously proclaimed that he wants to be my life partner and I feel the same about him.
