If you’re trying to get back together with your ex, you might be wondering if you’re making progress or if you’re just stagnating and possibly even wasting your time.
Now, it should be pretty obvious if your ex actually wants you back. Most of the signs your ex wants you back are pretty freaking obvious.
However, there are some that could be a bit tricky and are easy to over look.
But when it comes to signs that your ex absolutely does not want to get back together with you, that is another story.
1.) Your Ex Got Married to Someone Else
Your ex’s interest in their spouse, and disinterest in you or anyone else will be greatest immediately after they get married.
This should be really obvious, but many people simply just don’t get this…
2.) No Change
If there hasn’t been any change in the dynamic between you and your ex then that is probably a big sign that they don’t want to get back together with you.
Your ex isn’t going to come back into the same relationship that they walked out of in the first place, so you really need to demonstrate to them that something is different.
That’s why we focus so much on connection and showing your ex that you’re not the person that they broke up with.
3.) Reactance
I get into this more in the video but emotional reactance can and will keep your ex from wanting to get back together with you.
If your ex thinks that you have a hidden agenda, then their willingness to talk with you or interact with you is going to be very low.
YOu’ve got to get past the reactance if you want to get back together with your ex.
4.) They Are Still Hurt
Beyond reactance, if your ex is still hurt from something that you did or didn’t do during the breakup, they may still be holding on to that pain. And that pain may be blocking them from actually being able to interact with you in a meaningful way.
It doesn’t matter how good you are at connecting with them, if they can’t see past the pain, the connection just isn’t going to happen.
5.) You Aren’t Listening to Them
If you are only listening to your ex to see if what you are hearing lines up with your agenda or not and how to make it line up with your agenda, then you’re going to have a hard time.
Let it go and simply listen to your ex.
Be there with them, what are they experiencing? How can you connect with them? How is what you did impacting them?

Your ex will probably never come back to you if they realize that being with you is not adding a thing to their life, besides, have you changed? what value are you bringing back to the relationship? if after evaluation he or she thinks that you'll never be able to answer those questions, forget about it and move on. Try to be a better person in your next relationship.

Why is nobody thinking of whether that ex that got away brought any value? Usually we are stuck on people who leave us even though we were so miserable with them
Honestly you’re one of the only coaches I listen to. All the other ones just heightened my anxiety but at least you help us look on the brighter side and look at the possibilities. Not every situation is the same so thank you for giving a different perspective. ♥️

My fiance started a new relationship Whilst we were living together gathered, said he had no feeling for me any more and he was happy and he was in love with the new women in his life. He said I push him away because of lock of sex and attention and he thought I would not care. Truth is I loved him but was going through depression and just wasn't interested in sex or even to be touched

I love how this video isn't the conventional stuff that you see online like if they say "I never want to see you again". They don't mean that stuff in most cases. This advice you are giving is actually good advice.
You can still love your ex without being by their side. Love them from a far it's safer /more peaceful and very satisfying. And it's to let them know, yeah I got a lot of love for, I wish you the best but I can't tolerate being by your side and dealing with the nonsense. There's nothing with enjoying the feelings you have for someone /just don't manifest it into actions because that's when it can become painful..
Dear Clay. I love your videos! I was actually kind of skeptical to listen to this one but I'm glad I did. My ex and I have been apart broke up for 5 months now I'm 64 he's 65 and we were together for a year and a half we loved each other and always said that we truly believe that God brought us together. Due to some different situations nothing like cheating just my stress level he decided it was too much for him so he ended our relationship. I love him very much and I want him back in my life. I have been truly working on myself and have made many positive changes and I would truly look at our relationship completely different now. The problem here is we haven't had any contact with one another since he ended our relationship and I am blocked on all social media how can I get him back when they're is no communication between us?
I read the *listening* part. My ex told me never to contact him again so he can have a clean break. So how do I establish any sort of connection? Would reaching out just make him angry and feel not listened to. Had a few months no contact already. Really puzzling!!!

dont agree with what you say that they wouldnt get back to you simply because theyre gonna be coming on the same relationship that led them to a breakup. what if she's the one who cheated and left you and all of a sudden she feels guilty that here comes the man who genuinely loved and cared for her treated her like a princess yet she dumped him for a jerk boyfriend. she will come back to your relationship since she later realized that youre the better man and she simply cant afford to lose you. i guess she's the one who has to make an effort to convince you that she wont cheat again not the other way around

Thank goodness my ex does not want me back,that is such a huge relief.
my bf went no contact for a month, when i asked him why he said " you don't even know why i stopped talking." there was no pre-emptive argument. i typed back that i didn't know and would like to know so i could empathize with him and fix the problem. i gave him 3 days to respond, he did not, so i blocked him.

could you make a video of what you can do when you are afraid of texting your ex after no contact? because you are afraid of annoying them or getting in the friendzone or over alle afraid of an reaction?

If your ex dumped you and you're not hearing from them at all, then that should tell you something. Contacting them will only show them that you're still struggling with the breakup and you're dealing with separation anxiety and will only make you look weaker than when they broke up with you, so focus on yourself and if your ex cares enough for you, they will reach out, if not, then you weren't a big enough priority to even bother with.

Never contact them but LIVE your life to the fullest and advertise it all over social media but not too much, remain the same as you always have, so if you have only posted on social media once a day or once a week, keep it the same so it doesn't appear you are trying to get them to notice you. At some point, they WILL contact you. OR 2. You send them a text 'needing' something only they know or have.. like "Hey, remember that weekend we spent in Carmel and that awesome little restaurant you took me where we sat by the fireplace and laughed for hours? Well, I would like to take a friend there this coming weekend but I can't remember the name of it or how to get there? "

Yeah, but when I was saying about a year ago I miss her, about how we got engaged etc through a message on FB she asked me to never contact her again. I messaged her sister and mum and never got a reply back from them either.... haven't heard from her in a year or so now.
How do you know if you have a lot of reactance or riding the dragon? For example yestaday he opened up and was crying saying he was confused, then today only surface level conversation. Not sure if it's high reactance or riding the dragon

Hi, thanks for your kindness for helping people. There is my question, after break up i pleaded 1 time and i did no contact for about 2 mounth and my ex called me 3 times during no contact in about 1 in 10 days, i played cool even she congrated me valentine day (she called , i didnt answer but texted her very fine and she said she wanted to cograte me, i said good morning, how are you, i was sleep i didnt saw your sms and congradulation your valentine) and she send me sweet morning) but after that day she didnt contact me but she is liking and seeing my posts in instagram. Well, I'm looking at 4 of the 5 signs🤕 ouch! Wish I would have done things differently during and right after the break up. i really do love her with all of my heart. But my emotions were extremely high. I thought i was listening to her. But I really wasn't. I was too busy with damage control 😪 I think all I can do at this point is move on. Learn from it. grow and don't repeat the same mistakes in my next relationship.

hey clay! so may 9th marked exactly 2 months since my ex broke up with me, i did no contact for a month and he did reach out to me after a month. It went well but then right after 2 days he went back to being mean and saying he wants nothing from me but a friendship and wouldnt even care if i spoke to other guys. Now its been another month since we barely spoke but 3 weeks ago he messaged me saying "get off my facebook" since i have his passwords and he didnt change them and then 2 weeks ago he messaged me the samething saying "stop logging into my facebook" but still till this day he wouldnt change his password. Hi MR, I know that having a mixed messages from an ex can be confusing. It seems like she is in a test drive phase. she doesn't mean to push you after a positive interaction but she is likewise trying to understand the new dynamics that both of you may have. Please help me! My ex broke up with me and she's seeing another guy and she's completely heartless towards me, I'm honestly broken on the deepest level! I know it's a rebound but so was I to her ex before me and we lasted nearly 2 years and we're going to move in together and next year I wanted to propose but she doesn't want me and my friends and family know she's seeing another guy and they all hate her but I just feel so strongly onwards her, I hate that she hurt me but I know I still love her and now I feel like my whole life is over! Hang in there. I got married to a woman and was ready to move to her city and move in with her and she went cold and heartless, wants a divorce, and has someone else. Follow this guys advice though. Don't make the mistake I made of begging. Also be prepared for the worst and realize that you actually can live without her.

Buddy Bud-Bud I know it hurts , I’m sorry u are going thought this my advice would be to forget about her and move on . Stay in no contact for as long as u can . Let her reach out . If she doesn’t . It’s ok . Love urself and better urself . Good luck
Nothing I said or did lowered my ex's reactance. Nothing. I apologized and she never accepted it. She even blocked me which wasn't warranted and she became mean and cruel and jumped into a new relationship almost right away. I pushed her away during the relationship (due to stress), but she's been extremely unfair with me since she left me. 0 progress with her. Unlike anyone I'd ever been with before. Her reactions are just so extreme. She doesn't resemble the woman I was with for 2 years at all.
Long distance relationship will work?

LDR is challenging but it still works for a lot of couples out there. It's about how you make one feel good despite the distance so that person can will himself to commit to the relationship.
Then what too do how can I convince him .....you think I can see him or get him back together xxx

You don't have to convince your ex to get back together. But you have to inspire his affection and gain his confidence/trust back through positive interactions. All the best.

we are like neghibours our home is nearly 4 minutes away from eachother the reason for the breakup she mentioned was her past which i discuss with her friend and make her feel low and less respectful infront of the people whom means alot to her she said knowing about her past though u came to me (as her ex was my friend) and suddenly one of the friend mentioned that i had sex and took a pills doesnt mean i did truth can be anything i know iam right and i dont wanna be with that person who judges me by my past said she but before the day of the breakup she callee me to meet up but i was bit angry with something else and didnt even saw her face and left from there and suddenly after few hours when i saw her online i talked to her she talked nice and suddenly when i asked for apolizes and she said " i wanna say the reason why i wanna breakup with you" she called me and said the things i mentioned like never wanna see u judges past i hate that i had sex with u u utilized me stufffs like that and i tried to apoloized talked her on fb all she did was ignored my text went to meet up she ignored me too all the time she always saying is nothing the only thing"no matter what u do we are not getting bacl together i hate you" and then she ignores she never been like this before . please anyone watching my comment reply with help suggestion as for me its real hard to let her feeling go i tried to hookup with other girls failed ... its been 1 week today and 24 hours since i havent texted meetup to her...i talked to her friend and she mentioned she doesnt want to talk about u and doesnt care too ... so please anyone help me

Why am I getting all the mixed signals? My ex uses the pillow now that i use when i was stayin at his plc..he tells me that he will wear the clothes I bought for him..this is all after our breakup. But sometimes he just blows cold..I dont get it

Hi MsCher2009, Going through a breakup may not be emotionally easy. It can be confusing at times. Some would need to work on acceptance and healing so that they would be able to adjust to the current situation. All the best.

I did apologize to my ex and said in text I had no right to say the things I did because it was hurt feelings, but should not have said it, but got no reply and it has been months now, so had to give up
Clay, my ex is deeply hurt as I've lost her trust completely. She has daddy issues to top it off. however, we both love each other immensely and I am making changes to counter all of my flaws. However, I'm afraid my chances with her are slim hence getting any program may simply be meaningless. Before I make moves, I need confirmation from you whether this particular situation has hope... Just for background info I have never cheated on her (never even close) but during a previous "breakup" I got intimate with other girl only briefly before I broke down, only to see if it "was greener on the other side." I was deceived. She discovered this and she broke up with me furious and broken.

Of course you don't have a chance with her if you actually slept with someone else... what the hell... :( I am head over heels crazy about my ex... but if he actually went to sleep with someone else over me/after me... I'd never be with him again. He was even the first person I have ever fully trusted and believed in... how could you sleep and/or be intimate with someone else??? Of course she's broken and leaves you!!!!

I currently broke it off with my ex and started no contact. There was lying on my end and i have apologized about it many times. But she still held it against me. So i decided it was a good idea to take some time apart. During no contact she has tried reaching out to me several times in a passive agressive tone asking for a response even though i insisted we take some time apart. Im not sure what to do. She is clearly still hurt and i just want us to get passed this so that we might have another chance later on.

We agree that giving your ex the time to heal from the past will help settle down the negative emotions. Forgiving a person and gaining the trust back will take some time and consistency on your end. Clay Andrews thank you for the quick reply! One more question. We have a group of mutual friends and they have invited both of us to a get together. It would have only been 11 days since the last time we saw or heard from each other. Another reason i had started the no contact, was that there seemed to be a loss of attraction on her end as i had been showing some beta male traits. (Insecurity, pleading) Should i go and enjoy myself and show some the more positive and confident side of me or avoid the event and give her the space.
Do I still have a chance of getting my ex girlfriend back if we broke up due to incompatibility?

It really depends, but you can do the 5x5 list exercise to see if your personal values and things you want in a healthy relationship are aligned with the person that you are trying to get back with.

That's easy, with the passeage of time and hearing crickets. Next lol. I honestly don'tcare anymore. I can't force someone to like me or even care about me, despite how well, how good I treated them. Their ungratefulness, and non-commitment attitude, has already told me a lot about them and I don't need more negative or bad people like that.
Actually, just bc someone got married doesn't mean they don't want their ex... Maybe they are impulsive and needed someone in their life to sooth the pain... Wrong sign.
Is there chance of getting him back I called him severally to hear from him,he sent me a message that sounded harsh and threatened to block my line if I call him more,I tried calling thinking that he doesn't mean it,to my greatest surprise he blocked my line and also on WhatsApp.I changed my WhatsApp line a week later and chatted him up,he still ignores my chat but hasn't blocked,is there chances of both of us getting back.

Hi Chioma, It seems like your ex's wall of reactance is very high at this time. It is best to respect his space, for now, to let his emotions settle while you may be focusing your energies towards healing. Once you have regained your emotional balance back, you can gauge if he is ready to open his doors for communication. This time it is best to immediately apply Active No Contact just like what we teach our members inside our Ex solution Progam. Sending more positive energies on your end.
