Hello. May cause problem, if i updated MIUI to higher version ? On official MI webpage there is note that for successfull bootloader unlock you must have newest MI unlock tool and NEWEST MIUI INSTALLED.

@@AthemSaurav I updated MIUI now, before bootloader unlocking (because official xiaomi procedure says so). I am stuck now. Phone does not show itself in Windows, in that "MI unlock tool" table. I tried this "How to FIX Mi flash unlock tool not detecting Xiaomi phone and unlock!" kzread.info/dash/bejne/l6ie1Y9tZ93Khbw.html But it does not work. :-/

Please confirm that sim need a active internet connection or phone needs it via wifi. Btw I have sim in my phone.

Sim needs an internet connection in case of Xiaomi phones.

i am trying to unlock poco f1. whenever I open mi unlcok tool, it shows that my deice isnt connected, even after connecting it. moreover, whenever i connect my phone, my phone screen goes black with a tiny white text in the top left corner saying, "(unreadable) key to shutdown". please help me

i removed the sim in the phone cuz the xiaomi wasn't my first phone so basically now i can't receive the unlock code the 8th day ? or maybe i can hope i get it anyway ?

@@AthemSaurav today i tryied to unlock but the flash tool now say what i need to wait 170 hours and what i can't add my miui account otherwise i will wait from scratch , so no luck here :(

everything went as followed up until line adb reboot bootloader and mine is just stuck on a black screen with a tiny white text on the bottom saying => fastboot mode... the screen didn't change into a menu like others

Different phone have different methods to unlock. This method is for Xiaomi, Redmi and Mi devices

To make a custom ROM, you need source code of the phone's vendor Which the phone's company have. If they decide to not release that code to public, no one can make it's custom ROM and so, limited phones have custom ROM.
