I’m so glad you speak your native language! It’s so important to your culture and identity! I’d love it if you spoke in Yakutsk in your videos with subtitles. I actually like reading subtitles and hearing a native language. :)

Your pronunciation of “Garage” was exactly correct 🙂👍 Well done for not knowing 😄
In Canada when it gets too cold and you park outside, the vehicle is equipped with a block heater where you can plug it in a regular power outlet to keep the vehicle warm. Please upload more videos.
Can you show us the daily life? Shopping? Winter's activities?

Good idea
As a native English speaker, I can say that you say "garage" perfectly well. Thank you for your interesting video!
Good job! Pretty interesting, I couldn’t live there 😂😂
I'm from Canada and live cold countrues and cities like Yakoutsk and Russia. I have a great idea for you guys in Yakoutsk. You should creat a outdoor ice hockey tournament and call it (The coldest hockey tournament in the World) I bet people from all around the World would come to play in it !!
@raapyna8544

Hmm, I think that sounds too cold. When I went to school, our limit for outdoors PE was -15°C or -20°C. (I'm from Northern Finland) I bet the Yakutsk people can handle colder than that, and have better boots etc. but the international guests would be in trouble. Maybe not Canadians but the others.

You can't ski at such low temperature, you would just walk on ice with boots, without skiing

I think it's too dangerous to be outside during the whole length of a hockey game there in winter, haha. Doubtful playing the game will make you warm enough to last without getting frostbite for that long. But Yakutsk should get a KHL team ;)

@@jontiswe yeah, true in ways. But, don't forget that people in do do phyiscal work and sports in cold places like Yakoutsk. I even seen outdoor hockey rinks in Yakoutsk . Of course it would be important to plan something like a tournament, like having heat on the benches to warm up players, make sure players dress good enough, have warm drinks availible for players, etc. Maybe Yakoutsk will get a khl team someday, the city keeps developping.

These are the best interesting facts about Yakutia than other channels. Thanks.
Hello Maria, Happy New Year! I love your videos and I am fascinated with Yakutsk. I hope to go there one day, but in the summer. I find everything about Yakutsk interesting. Thank you for all of your wonderful videos and I look forward to many more.
HI, i am from Malaysia. I love to watch your video and will continue to watch any other of your video. I love the fact of the activated day. I can have more rest and sleep routine :)
Дорообо . Thank you for this video from you about Yakutsk. Well done. All of it is interesting. You speak English so well! Махтал.

hello Maria, nice to meet you,i'm new on your channel and my curiosity is always to see how the life is in extreme weather! like me we have one of the hottest weather too,in summer is like 115F (46C) sometimes little less sometimes more, like 123F (50C) shows the thermometer, but I wish to go one day to Yakust. hugs from Las Vegas NV!
wow im amazed to hear how hot it gets in summer!
Come live in Charlotte NC. We have summers at around 40 degrees Celsius. 90 percent humidity and a due point just as high. Most days you will not feel a breeze, the leaves on the trees don’t move. It’s stagnant air and it’s humid. It really makes me sad to get hot. I am miserably hot as I write this. 😭
Oh this was very informative
Молодец -- хорошое произношение!
So interesting! I come from Mexico and we start freezing at 10ºC here so can't imagine myself living in Yakutia jaja 🥶Congratulations on your channel!
After each of your vids I know more than I did at the start. And I'm learning about things that interest me. Russia is such an interesting and beautiful country and I thank you for showing me that. I hope you will continue with your videos as I'm sure people from around the world appreciate them as much as I do. Have a nice day.
All kids love to stay home from school,I know I did in snow days here in Rhode Island. USA
you have a very nice smile! cheers! :)
Binge watching your channel. I feel the place is real quiet as the volume of audio in your videos is really low. :)
Very interesting!
Are those potatoes growing in the garden? How about an episode on summer activities? Thanks for these videos, these are very informative.
Thank you So much. The topics on this video were well thought through. What has most of my interest is what impact the low temperatures have on transport of people and how farmers operate in Yakutsk. I'd love to visit your state but are not sure if my wife would travel along with me. 🍀🎼💃🐥
Very interesting.
Very interesting! I didn't know anything about Yakutsk before this video. During winter for those who just leave their cars, do they typically just walk places instead?
Thank you very much for this video. I like very much to hear about life in Yakutia. It is fascinating! But isn´t it possible to use electric heaters for car engines in Siberia? That is very common here in Scandinavia. In our climate it takes an hour or so to preheat the engine before you start it. An engine heater consumes about 500 - 700 W (220V) and they are easy to install.

Hey, Lars Alexandersson! Thank you for information. I have never heard about electric heaters. Can you send me a link of the one that is commonly used in Scandinavia?
You pronounced garage perfect! Don’t apologize or feel bad, we know what you mean! :) Curious, the people who leave their cars out to freeze in winter, how do they get around town? If they have to wait until springtime to be able to use their car, do they take a bus or taxi to get around? Love your videos by the way! I’m a new subscriber, and I’m watching all of them now! :)

Thank you for your video. The way you pronounce Garage is OK..Your winter season was interesting fact for me. I plan to visit in February 2021. Which month do you get the most snow? Which week was your last snow of the last season? I would like to see more video of cloths and jacket options the local people wear? How different is -20c to -40c with what you wear?
Hi from Romania
hi i,m next year going to trip in yakutia from mongolia
Can you show us how is daily winter's activities in Yakutia? greeting from Indonesia.
Haha, in Poland schools would be closed probably around -20c, but I only heard about that from my mum. She had some times like that but it was about30/40 years ago. Now it isn't that cold in winter (this winter we have -15 and I am so happy, cause it didn't happen for 10 years or so. Finally we've got a true winter - though not for you haha).
Hi Maria, that was so interesting ! I had a question, during the "activated days" does children use internet to continue school at home now or internet is not widely used in Yakutia ? Cheers from France !
Since you talked about Books, I remember a book which we used to read in childhood, it was about stories of Prince Iwan and some other characters like Baba Yaga, Vasilisa, and some more. Do you read those books. I want to read more of those stories.
How do you guys get your supplies in? I read on Wikipedia that Yakutsk is not connected by any road to the mainland. You obviously cannot airlift everything in, the price would be astronomical.
yakutia very interesting
❤
So small and sweet voice 😍😍
I found the "activated days" very interesting. I would have expected the required temperatures to be higher, starting at minus 30 perhaps, but I suppose Yakutia is so cold that minus 30 must seem like just a normal (not extreme) winter temperature ? I'm curious ; does it ever get so cold that there are activated days for adults ... days so cold you don't have to go to work and stores and offices close ?
@user-kz9dy9xi1u

No. Kindergardens, offices open every day. In activated day only pupil can stay at home.
What are your favorites books in Sakha? :) Just curious!
hi dear can you tell about cost of living Yakutsk
Go to the shops and the restaurants plse....sample the stuff for us plse.
I love this girl 😘😘😘
Is any kind of heater used inside those temporary garage-blankets that people put on their cars?
👍
wonders how much Rent costs in Yakutia? maybe do a cost of Living Video and translate that to American Dollars or the Euro
I think my city (Auckland) gets too hot in summer and too cold in winter. Maximum temperature for an average year is 28C and minimum is 2C. I guess I'm just soft.
Love from 🇮🇳 india
Any suggestions for warm jacket good enough for minus 40 degrees?

Hi Maria, i have a question... Since it is so cold there in Yakutia... Does the water in the toilet freeze too... And if it does how do people be able to flush the toilet bowl... I am just curious because it is so cold up there...
Having pipes above the ground is genius, honestly. In our capital city here in Ireland HALF of the water in pipes leaks. Because the pipes are so old and underground they are hard to fix. It's difficult to even know where there is a leak. 😪
@cathyk6319
3 жыл бұрын
That's a very good point. Perhaps exposed pipes do not look very appealing, but I'll gladly take that over having water shut off while crews are opening the pavement looking for a leaky pipe.

Is everyone there a native or is there Russians from the west there also? What is the industry there that makes the economy? Your English is excellent! Where did you learn it?
You pronounced garage in perfect British English
The soil will shrink due to the melting of the ice in the permafrost and the building will start to creep, that would be the right way to put it

I'm from Indonesia, and the lowest temperature only 26 C in my city. Some places can get as low as 22 C. High up in the mountains may get to 0 (rare).. so i don't think I can survive in your winter..
They cancel school here if it might snow 😂
oh my, how do people survive the winters there?
😀
also sounds Like you need build an indoor garage where your car Lives in the house with you LoL to avoid the harsh temperatures of winter
Hii, how r u..?
What do parents do when their young kids' school is cancelled? Is the child left at home unsupervised all day? Can a parent take a day off work to stay with the kid? What about children below the school age?
35C ? i live in western australia. 35C is not that bad yet (i agree that it's very hot) XD
I heard that in 19th century there was plenty of polish people deported to Yakutia, do you know more about it? I have been number of times to Russia, never made it to Yakutia though. Maybe one day...?.
