    I am from Canada and we can get some cold days here in winter depending on where you are in my country. -40 C is bitter if the wind blows and can cause instant injury to the skin in the form of wind burn. If you want to got to Yakutia. Make sure you do your homework on proper dress for the cold; down filled jacket, mittens, face protection and really good boots.

    @@Ian-iu2tl definitely. Where I live it never gets below 32 so I have no idea how negative numbers feel, I will definitely have to do my homework on proper dress for the cold if I want to go to a cold place like Yakutia.

    I love the crunching sound of the snow! It sounds cold. In the southern U.S., the traditional New Years dish is Hoppin’ John. The main ingredient is black-eyed peas. It’s supposed to bring prosperity in the new year. It’s so good!

    Hello, love your channel. You could explain or show how to make the traditional Yakutzki new year dishes. Also what hobbies you have? Share some info about your boy's school activities, maybe. Schools are not the same when its super cold, maybe less hours to attend? Also, how you and your husband met? You have a great voice, could also sing in your language. Like lullabies, or some soft music..

    Here where I live, near Turin, northern Italy, fish is quite expensive because we're far from the sea or any lake, what's a thing or food common in all the world that's not so easy to find in your region? The hps lamps are helpful for growing vegetables and fruits?

    I think your videos are great. I come from the north of Canada so it's fun to see what things are in common. Your Stroganina is a wonderful idea only we in the north can do -- it's like your secret sushi! What kind of fish is good to make it, should it have lots of fat like salmon or less fat like cod? How do you make it -- just clean it and freeze it, or is it salted/flavored before freezing?

    Heey! The fatter the better 😋 the fish that we eat are called chir, omul, nelma.. all of them are caught by ice fishing and freezed immediately on the air😬🥶 then we take off scales, cut into slices and voila 😋 we eat it with salt, pepper and bread. 😌

    I'm slowly watching all your videos ! It's amazing to me that people can survive in such cold temperatures. How are those old style village houses constructed in order that people can stay warm ? (What kind of insulation etc).

    How many days a year does temperature go below -40C? How long can you leave a car parked outside before you won't be able to restart? How do you deal with car problems; starting, warming up car, frozen fluids, frozen gas, frozen rubber parts including tires? When does it cool down in autumn and when does it warm up in spring?

    I heard the word "Balık" in your tongue as you were speaking, same word in anatolian turkish also means "fish" and it makes me happy to hear this :D I wanna ask if you have any chance to see northern lights in Yakutia? Yakutsk is not so far in north but in Yakutia you must be able to see, right? Maybe travel those places sometime and show us, am i asking too much? :3

    Actually in russian "balyk" is salted back of fish (especially salmon), but for some reason it is now used for the smoked back of a pig as well. And I`m sure that is in russian from tatar language.

    ​@@sodinc oh i see...I thought they were speaking in sakha language when they were filming in home but i cannot tell if it was russian or not... And i agree, the fish dish's name is coming from some turkic language probably, not an expert tho.

    Hello, balyk means fish in Sakha language :) We were talking about frozen fish that we were going to eat. We have northern lights rarely and they are not so bright in Yakutsk. To see bright lights we need to go farther to the north:)

    It is due to pure water freezing faster than contaminated with natural chemicals like salts. So in the autumn pure water separates from the contaminated water and moves to the surface of the lake to freeze, that's when people go and cut it.

    @@LifeinYakutia Wow, you set it that warm in the home. In Europe, they set at 15 C and USA at 22 C the most. Any warmer one will get a high heating bills.

    Oh yes, I thought about moving many times. But I can’t help myself, I keep seeing the village where I was born in my dreams, even if I am here, 80 km from there, I miss my home. I love Yakutia too much.
