This is the GOOD side of the internet: tonight our family will get to tour an art museum halfway across the world and learn about a beautiful culture we didn't know existed. Thank you so much for posting this! Lots of love from the US. ❤
I'm here in Colombia smoking weed and watching Yakutian shamanist art. Love this time! Gracias Maria!!!
My daughter works at an art museum here in Shawnee Oklahoma, the Mabee-Geerer art museum. My daughter is a Native American artist What an exchange of cultures that would be.
The first painting of the shaman with his drum was amazing ❤
WOW, every one of Maria's videos teaches us something worth learning and takes us on an exciting journey.
Hello sis,from Turkey. It is wonderful to witness the life of Siberian Turks. We are waiting for the continuation of the videos and we love you very much!!!!
You’re voice and accent are so beautiful and relaxing to listen to
every artifact and carvings made out of mammoth tusk is super fascinating. It recalls something ancient, primal and supernatural. I'd love if one of your next videos would tell us more about mammoths in Yakut history and culture.
I noticed similarities between the art in this museum and Native American art. Thank you for this tour!
Thank you so very much for this video! Your whole channel is amazing, but this video right here has me speachless! You showed and talk so sweetly about so many beautiful paintings and pieces! I work in a few museums in Argentina, and the Internet is my golden ticket to travel around the world and to visit other museums, galleries and artistic spaces. I'm so glad I got to visit the National Museum of Sakha through your eyes. It blew me away ♡
I Love learning about Yakutia culture - from a Lao Vietnamese American
So pleased to hear i will definitely check it out at British Museum when it reopens! And hopefully see Yakutsk next year if its safe to do so...thank you Maria SabrinaFromLondon 🇬🇧
I am interested in Yakutia's culture, people, and nature. I think Yakutia's culture has similarities with Korean culture, especially shamanism. I want to visit to Yakutia someday. I hope this hope will come true soon.
Beautiful. Dance of seven cranes
I am so happy I found your videos, subscribed immediately. I am from Croatia and learning about Yakutia is more than interesting to me. I am an art history and archeology student. This channel is really a hidden gem. 🌺 Thank you so much and I hope you can continue making more videos!

So true! For me a Russian, even though we live in the same country, it's so amazing and stunning to learn more about Yakutia, as it's quite far away from me but I adore the culture and people so much!
Amazing! Thank you for posting this! I'm from Yakutsk and have been enjoying your videos as a reminder of my motherland and an update on how things are now. This video was especially interesting for me as an ex-art student, seeing the beautiful paintings of traditional Yakut brides was really special! I hope to see it in person one day~
Thank you very much
Nice art works! I see that there are many similarities with Mongolian and Siberian spiritual shamanistic, cultures and traditions , some tents and logmills even have some similarities with Native Americans in Canada and Alaska. And these scenes are probably closer to what like ancient Central Asia and Mongolia were before Islam & Buddhism came.
Wow! Such a short, but intense way to showcase your culture! Since beliefs, way of life, fashion, art and so on! Thanks Maria, your channel is AMAZING! keep up the good work on your videos.

Wow, I just discovered your chanel and I love it!! It's quite interesting, some of the things remind me to North American Native culture, but it's probably very different.
these brides paintings are the most beautiful I have ever seen on the topic really!
Amazing, thank you for sharing

Could you please please please talk to us about a connection to the Native American Navaho people as your cultural icons are so similar, as well as the dress and Shaman dress.
Вау, изображения женщин очень красивые и загадочные 😍 спасибо за видео!

Amazing! hello from Malaysia 🇲🇾
I LOVE the paintings of the woman with the moon and a fox behind her and that god (?) on a red horse with a sword.
very interesting.the attire reminds me a bit of manchurian dress.
I like your vedios
4:55 This painting is very beautiful and full of mystery.
Really interesting Maria! Especially the facts about World War 2.
Your accent is super
the story about how and where the woolly mammoth tusks come from.. wow
I just subscribed to your channel, I love it! I'm curious about the Arangas. Was the burial of the shaman above ground permanently? Were they kept in a coffin of some kind? What happens nowadays when a person dies, are most people buried below ground or are there other methods of final disposition?
@alexandrvasilev2865

it depends ... According to believes if shaman was really powerful and strong his descendants must re-bury him each 100 years. Shaman's spirit will show them how and where. Most powerfull ones were re-buried up to 4 times. If descendants will forget or refuse to do that then shaman's spirit wont let them live calmly.
Thanks for this video. Is there any places of commemoration of gulags in Yakutia?
❤️
Could you make a video of Yakutias nature?
Very nice museum, much better than the ones in my city, may I ask who's the artist of the painting at 4:49?
👍
The art of using birch and other wood is a tradinitional art for all TURKS 👍👍👍
I have question, what Yakut/Sakha architecture look? temple, palace or traditional building, Pavillion and hall, are they similar to Buryatia, Tuva, Kalmykia, Khakassia and Mongolia?
Is it still possible to find mamouth tusks, or is this an ancient art? The carvings look very shiny, almost like new. Thank you for your videos, they are very interesting.

Hey! Yes, there are a lot of mammoth tusks in Yakutia. It’s big (sometimes illegal) business.
Do you have termal wathers and salt lakes?
We love sakha yakut turks ❤💙
Do you have to drive to the Sakha Republic or can you fly directly there?

7:35 is that a dinosaur???????
@alexandrvasilev2865
3 жыл бұрын
No, this picture is an illustration to a national epic "Nurgun Botur the Impetuous". That dinosaur like creature is a demon from underworld named Uot Uhutaaky (toughest guy in underworld) He stole beautiful girl Tuyaaryma Kuo - a bride of Urung Uolan - ordinary guy from upperworld who's brother accidentally is a toughest guy in upperworld and his name is Nurgun Botur. He is the horseman on that picture - a chaotic good hero who goes to underworld to safe a bride of his yonger brother. Their battle was so epic that if it were last little bit longer they would destroy the universe.

I’m just wondering, are most Yakuts today shamanist or are they now orthodox? Or maybe most Yakuts are just non religious due to communism?
@LifeinYakutia

We believe in shamans, but I wouldn’t say we are shamanists, because I our main religion is called Sakha itegele and shamans are small part of it. Some Yakut are orthodox, but they are minority.
