How to use cold weather in cooking? 👩🍳 or Traditional Yakut dessert - Ton Küörchekh / Frozen whipped cream
My favorite Yakut dessert - Ton küörchekh or Frozen whipped cream 😋
Ingredients:
Heavy cream (25% fat or more) - 100 ml
Sugar 2 teaspoons
Lingonberries 3 tablespoons (or any other berries)
Mix all ingredients together until it gets whipped cream and freeze it.

Often restaurants have walk in freezers. Your house has a walk out freezer.
When u have a room that was cooler than a refrigerator😂

When she said outside I thought she really meant outside. N I thought it be like in the snow...we put drinks to cool at lake Tahoe but nothing compares to their walk in freezer (outside room). Lol

I'm surprised they have an uninsulated room that basically looks like a summer porch. They have a table and chairs and a tea set in there but they can only sit there 3 months out of the year no?

Hi, Maria. I showed your video to my Yakutian friend, she liked your content very much and supposed you're originally from somewhere north of Yakutsk because she has the impression that people from the north always appear to be so calm, patient, and peaceful. I would like to thank you for the effort you put into your videos, they give me so much inner serenity in this difficult time, I wish you and your family a happy, healthy, and successful New Year!

You need to be calm and patient in a far north environment. Being to hasty or impatient can get you killed in many survival situations

A diet high in animal fats will keep your nerves calm.
I see that there is a separate indoors section of your house that is very cold, and there is very thick padding on the door. Would be interesting to see you discuss more features about the unique architecture of houses in such a cold climate.

@@kbecks123 No, we call it Kyule, it serves as a place where we can store things in winter so that they take up space in the house, and in summer we use it as a kitchen or bedroom on hot days
We have the same traditional tool in India that you used for whipping the cream..we call it 'mathni' in Hindi(one of the language).. Btw wonderful to see your life in the coldest place on earth
These wholesome videos make my day better, thank you for your positive energy!
I just love her spirit. Watching her videos always make me smile.
Haha, I really liked the ending where you just put the cream to chill outside! Even in a freezer it would take way longer where I live to get the same result! Happy New Year and my best wishes to you and your family! Love from Antwerp, Belgium
Oh my god! The only other time I've seen this mixing tool was in a Japanese manga called Golden Kamuy. It showed the Ainu people (indigenous people of Japan) use it! So I guess most related peoples of the northern far east must use similar things!
The english term for when the cream is whipped enough is “stiff peaks”. Very fun recipe, would love to make some for my family once it gets cold enough here. Bravo from the US!
Hello from Istanbul. Türkiye'den Türk kardeşinizden selam olsun.
You speak slowly so i watch you. I came from Ruhi Çenet and Sümeyra Çenet. Hi from Turkey.🥰
The fact that you don't have to put it in refrigerator makes me think. I am from Rajasthan, India. Love your simplicity.
You also got Lingon berries? We call then Lingonbär or just Lingon here🥺🇸🇪 so cool we got the same berry when our countries are so far away!

Hi! My father is Turkish, and we also say 'Don' or 'Ton' in your language to say frozen! Probably our common Turkic roots :) Thank you for the recipe !!

I have to say, I'm already in love with this channel. I discovered you after watching your video with Eli. You have such a nice, warm, kind personality. Your content is so informative too! I'm learning so much
I love your videos, Maria! They're humble, informative and fun! There are so many "look at me" videos out there from vloggers who only brag about luxury, and feature how they're better than the viewers. Keep up your simple, down-to-earth content.

It's crazy I live in South Africa and I've never been anywhere else, and firstly these videos are insane to me because in my 22years I've seen snow once, and secondly it makes me feel like I'm traveling there. Love these videos
You are very soft spoken young girl. God bless you
Дом такой уютный👍
-48°C outside 😱 in the house you just put the cream on the table 15 min, and it turns to ice cream 😀🤣
Eating ice cream in sub zero temperatures is the best. One never has to worry about melting ice cream :)
I made this tonight using this video! I used raspberries and almonds, too. Thank you for the recipe! 🙂

A pleasure to watch this kind person. That ice cream looks like ice cream cookies. Looks great!
I only eat ice cream during the winter here in Colorado as well. I love eating cold desserts when it's snowing heavily here, it's perfect to have for someone like me who loves cold weather. 😁
this is lovely! i find it so cool how there is emphasis on recipes served cold even if it is also cold outside in yakutia culture. it is very unique 💗
In India we make papads in summers for that we leave them in sun to dry naturally....first time I saw someone making ice cream naturally by leaving outside 😊how wonderful.stay blessed and happy 🙏🙏
I love your channel so much! Working on making some of your recipes at home. Greetings from Michigan! 💕

I’m surprised. We have this same tool in Bangladesh too. We use it the same way you did but we use it for making lentil soup.
I love watching your videos, although they make me feel cold looking at the weather outside! I would be interested in seeing you visits farmers in Yakutia to show how they manage to produce food in such an inhospitable landscape. Dairy products seem very popular in Yakutia. I want to see the cows!
Oh wow!! What a fun and simple recipe, my fridge would probably take way more than 15min to completely freeze the ice cream 😂 I got cold by just seeing the ice on the door! Thanks for sharing 😊
