4x4 footwell water bladder - First look and preparation

We have been trying to come up with a decent water storage solution for the 4x4 and after trying Jerry cans and plastic tanks, this is our latest attempt to get it right.
The 55 litre water bladder sits in the footwell behind the front seats and once we add a water pump, we hope it will give us the solution we have been looking for.
We have the ability to add 2 x 20l Jerry cans to the roof but we know that is a problem with the centre of gravity so would only do that if we really need extra water.

Best way I've found to dry them out is use an airbed pump 👍👍👍👍

Syphon should get the water out. So should the pump you haven't bought yet. It's never going to get dry inside, unless you can organise some evaporation.

We have now bought and installed a pump which does the job pretty well. A suggestion made was to use an electric air bed pump to dry it out but I'm not too worried as our standard water tanks in the Coaster always contain some water and we can always use a steriliser regularly just to be safe.

@@WesternAustraliaNowAndThen I wouldn't worry about it, for me. If you're concerned, you could have the water tested after a few months, or use water purification pills, or boil the water before using. Maybe fill a 2l Pepsi bottle for tooth-cleaning.

I made a second video showing the final set up. We still use it but I have found that the water bladder does 'taste' a bit so I have had to flush it with bi-carb again. The other video is at: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fqWJrKhvcpXSlZs.html&ab_channel=WesternAustraliaNowandThen
